About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

lots o' feature
Always enjoy this course. There's quite a bit to it, feature as I say. Can't just swing away, Got to pay attention to club choice and terrain. A 45 minute drive for me and worth it.

Great value and conditions!
As quickly as the cool weather arrived, the higher prices have also appeared as well. I typically play once a week with different people in and around central Florida. It’s getting harder and harder to find courses now that haven’t already priced themselves out because of the cool weather and not because of great conditions.
Luckily, this course has the right idea with its price and current condition. Add to that a friendly and welcoming staff and you’ve got yourself a true hidden gem here. I’ve played here twice already in the last two weeks and plan on coming back soon.

Close to home
The course is in fair shape. Not the greatest but not the worst. The layout can be a bit gaff. Meaning, there are some holes that are far-too-narrow, which aren't very fun to play at all. Overall, I would play it again if I didn't have to pay full price. It's fine if you are able to find a Hot Deal etc. Certain staff members lack people skills. I give it a 3 out of 5 rating.

Course is in good condition despite the hurricane. Not much standing water and the debris has been cleared. The course was busy, but the pace of play was fine. Avoid the rough as is is deep in some areas. Greens are in excellent condition. CCMD is not the most difficult course, but the condition and cost make it a great place to play

Fun day Made miserable with TERRIBLY SLOW GREENS
Over all course conditions were very nice good playing conditions. The only negative comment I have is the greens are terribly SLOW. Beautiful layout - friendly professional staff.

Great shape
First time playing here, course was very nice, great condition. Roughs are thick but overall great experience. Was a slight wait on a few holes but wasn’t bad. Will definitely play here again, great course for the price.

Beautiful and challenging course
We always enjoy our golf day playing the Country Club of Mount Dora. Course is in beautiful condition, the staff are pleasant and lunch at the restaurant after our round is always delicious.

great course for the money
Had played ere before but this was the best! Greens were superb, fairways had lots of grass, same for the tee boxes. We had a 10:00 tee times but got off a few minutes early., didn't catch anyone until number 8,. Even then the play was good.
The only concern we had was after we finished and heard that a developer wanted to build houses in the area and might destroy the layout and put houses where some holes are located and take away some of the tree/wetland areas. It is a great course, hope that they can control the future.

Great condition courses
The course have a lot challenging holes, green in good condition, I have very good round, will be back soon!! Even though I have almost an hour drive!

Fairways & Greens
I like this place. Fairways and greens are always in great shape. Bunkers could use some attention but I think the heavy rain the day before delayed maintenance. The holes can be tight, water comes into play often and the greens are small. Like most of these neighborhood courses there are one or two quirky holes that seem squeezed into the layout.
The practice green was decent. The practice range employs floating balls, no mats, however as you’re hitting off turf. For the money I think this place is worth playing.

Good Value
First time playing. Fairways well manicured. Bunkers excellent condition Greens were in great condition albeit a little slow. Layout was fine although front has 3 par 3’s and 3 par 5’s. Par 3,s a little on the short side. Plenty of water in play to keep it interesting. First cut of rough was fine but keep your eyes on the ball if you land in second cut. Course meanders through community so lots of OB.
