About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Still Loving it
I have played Country Club of Mount Dora a number of times and you can never go wrong with this hidden Jem. It's always in great condition for a neighbor course and the staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. I bring all my golfing buddies to Country Club of Mount Dora anytime I can get a chance to book a tee time. Keep up the good work guys I do appreciate it.

The course is relatively good shape.
The greens are fairly true and fairways are in good shape. It is a beautiful course with clean waterways.

Friendly staff. Tee boxes need a little TLC. Fairways were in excellent condition, like playing off a carpet. Greens were in good condition for being punched 2 weeks ago. Rolled smooth and consistent. This course is worth the drive to Mount Dora.

Nice track
Greens were recently aerated but are very playable. Fairways are in really good shape and the layout is nice. Highly recommend if you’re in the Mount Dora area.

Only played Back Nine
I came a long way to play the course and when I got there, the front desk informed me that only the back 9 was open due to aeration. Despite that, the staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the course. I played from different tees each time I played the 9 holes and that made the round more interesting. Course was in great shape and I will come back again when I can play the whole 18 .

Great value
Played in 3:30. Greens are in good condition and are really easy to read. Despite the heavy rains the night before, there was no standing water and the bunkers were in great shape. The course is not long even from the back tees and is really straightforward. However you can hit it through the fairway into hazards if you don’t pay attention. For the price , this is a great value- excellent pace of play, good greens, nice fairways and rough if you miss the fairway.

Beautiful course, challenging!
Fairways and greens are in great condition. Tee boxes could use some help. Food and service at the restaurant were excellent. We will retirn. Fun course.

First time in 20 years - didn’t disappoint!
Played here about 20 years ago , and recall it being nice but I’ve seen many of once-nice tracks decline over the years around central FL. But not this one - was terrific on all fronts. Course was in great shape, staff was friendly and professional, and pace of play on a crowded day was very good - played in 4:15. Had lunch at the restaurant which was also excellent. Price for golf and food was a great value too. Won’t be 20 years before I come back - definitely added this one back to my short list.
