About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Course is tough but fair.
Greens are still recovering from a slight areration.

I very much enjoy this course
I have palyed here a few times perhaps 4-5. It has always been a good experience. Never too crowded or slow. The one time we had a slow group in front of us they offered to let us play through.
I am now conversing with the course manager to arrange lessons when he returns from medical leave.

One of the best courses I've played in Central FL lately
So many of the courses in Central FL are in rough shape...weeds, bald patches on greens/fairways/tee boxes,. But CC of Mt. Dora was in really nice shape. I look forward to playing again.

Ok Course
For a country club, I was hoping for a bit nice course conditions and maintenance. The course itself has a very different layout, not making a lot of sense the flow of things and the weaving in and out of neighborhoods. Tee boxes not in order. It was like a funhouse of a golf course. lol kind of lost going through the track. Greens rolled well, fairways needed some TLC, Bunkers were ok. TONS of water and houses very close to fairways, making tee shots tight. I live in Orlando, so for the price and accessibility, I can find better courses for the value locally. But it was a different course to try, so we did. Wont be back though.

CC of Mt Dora
The course is in pretty good shape overall. There are spots in the fairways and on the greens that need to look at but overall high quality. Better conditions than Eagle dunes or Wekiva. MtDora always has grass in the fairways. Many other courses do not.

The course is in excellent condition and the greens are typically fast and true.
The abundant water that comes into play on a majority of the holes will test any golfer's ability.
It is indeed a good test of one's game.

Always a nice course
CC of Mt Dora is a nice course that offers a somewhat challenging layout. It's in nice shape considering the warm, dry weather we've had in central Florida. Unlike so many courses these days, it's still reasonably priced. We've played CC of Mt Dora many times, and we've never run into a pace of play issue. The only downside is the inconveniently located driving range.
