About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

First time and not the last!
What a steak for under $45. Nice layout lots of different looks. Plenty of water. Really a total steal for the money. Very good shape tee to green. You won’t be disappointed!

Orlando trip
One of the courses we played out of 72 for the weekend. Good course. Plenty of houses lining the fairways. Would play again.

Course in great shape. Always enjoy playing here. Greens putt true and good speed. Fairways excellent for this time of year.
Only negative was: didn’t see any alligators. Our friends from Pennsylvania were hoping. Of course this is not under control of the club.

Pleasant Round
We are residents of the Orlando and more than just frequent golfers around the area. We were very pleasantly surprised .
Our experience started at the pro shop where we were treated by a knowledgeable, efficient, friendly & respectful staff. The starter was friendly, informative and a pleasure to converse with and as I left him and made my way to the first tee we were very pleased.
The course was maintained and in good shape. As I was with my wife I found The course to be not only female friendly but from my tees it was also very challenging and enjoyable. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape.
A real technical course where placement is key but plenty of holes where you can bring out the big stick.

Mt Dora CC
Country club style course. Very challenging with water and lots of carry. Shot placement important. With extensions to 429 very accessible from Disney. Accessible from the Villages. Worth the play.

Wonderful
I wish my play that day was as good as this course. From tee to green it had wonderful conditions. The greens rolled at a medium pace, but true. If there was one knock on it to me it would have been the tee boxes. Pretty much every one (as a lefty) tilted up hill. I was always teeing with the ball slightly above my feet. But l wouldn’t think twice about going back. There wasn’t a dull hole on the course. The cart didn’t have GPS, but it ran very nicely. There were no mats on the practice range (+). I didn’t use the green.

Cart girl and halfway house closed at 2:00 pm. Started complaining about coolers being used. Not sure what they expect. People need to have something to drink

Challenging Course is very good condition
Desk Staff was not very welcoming. He was more interested in pushing products than accommodating the customer. Refused to issue cart keys even though there were plenty of vacant carts. I spoke to the starter to let him know we were early and would appreciate going out early if there were late arrivals or a lull in arrivals. I ended up lugging my cart bag in from the parking lot ( I am 75 ) The starter, Al, was very accommodating and did get our foursome out early.
