About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Good value
18 holes in 3 and a half hours. Conditions were good with good greens and fairways. Some of the tee boxes needed mowing. The layout is fair and challenging for a club course and provided some good views. First time back in several years. The group liked it and we will be back.

Very nice
Just wish there was more water for drinking available. The containers were there but no water was in them. Needed for when it is hot.

A pretty course in decent condition
Played for the first time, front 9 on my own as it wasn't busy. Tight fairways and challenging layout, fast greens. It's built amongst houses so you have to be somewhat accurate in your shot making. Conditions were better than average and the value for the dollar was great!

What a great day!
The fairways were well groomed and the greens were immaculate. This is a very well kept course! We started our round joking around with the extremely funny starter. He was a hoot and started my birthday round off on the right foot. On the first hole I scored a birdie, what a gift! We ended the round by stopping in at the restaurant/bar for a cold one and once again had a great finish with the extremely humorous bartender! Enjoyed our day immensely due the high level of customer service by the staff! Thank you. We are returning next week!

Country club atmoshere
This was a very nice club & course. We were well treated just like a member. Tees, fairways & greens were good. Some of the holes were unique and challenging . Great course for the price . Would highly recommend this course . Excellent club house and eatery

Fast Greens Slow Play
Course was great from tee to green. The pace was excruciatingly slow. Its Florida in the winter but I haven’t gotten to the acceptance part yet. after plying 55 years. Nonetheless the course is a challenge with narrow areas, doglegs and forced carries. I will be back when its a 100 degrees and everyone has retreated to their air conditioned homes.

Family outing
We enjoyed the course. Is definitely more of a shot placement course .. can only hit driver on maybe 4 or 5 holes. Course was challenging but not over hard. Greens were pretty good and overall condition was nice. Enjoyed the fact that course is spread out through the community .. lots nice houses to view while playing.

A club member shared this course is to be closed soon. That’s too bad. It’s a fun track to play and usually at a bargain price. Will try to get out there one more time before it closes forever.

Great Course
I couldn't imagine the staff improving the course, but since I last played here 10 years ago when it was my home course, they have made it even better! Beautiful fairways, greens are perfect, tee boxes were close, they could have used a cut that morning, but I didn't have to use a tee on Par 3s

My wife and I were paired with two men. One of the men was very upset to be playing with a women. He showed his displeasure.

Great little course for 50 bucks. Only 6000 yards bit tight.
