About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

pretty course
Nice course. Well maintained. Greens were true and fairly fast, fairways were in great condition. lots of sand traps to protect greens. Will play there again.For Florida at this time of year the course is a good deal aND FUN TO PLAY

Good test of golf
It is always a great experience. Tough but fair track. Course conditions good. First 3 holes and especially last 3 holes are outstanding tests.

Go play it!
Definitely worth the money! Greens are in good shape fairways were in good shape staff was terrific. Course layout was challenging. We played from the back tees and with the wind we were getting our butts kicked. The only issue was a group 3 groups ahead were crazy slow, someone eventually went out and move them along, but it should’ve been done four holes earlier.
Also
This wasn’t her fault, but the person at the halfway house was overwhelmed, because whoever made the decision had her grilling hotdogs and putting the condiments on for each person. I’m in the business, I set up systems on golf courses.so stuff like this drives me crazy. If you want to grill them great then grill them ahead of time put them in a steamer and have a condiment tray so the golfers can do it themselves. OR Put another person out there and have them grill the hotdogs There was actually three groups of golfers waiting to get hotdogs.at the turn. Ridiculous. Again. Not her fault. She was great! And to be fair, the hotdog was terrific. :)

Fun course
The course has water almost every hole! It’s challenging but fun! The course condition is excellent, rough is a bit rough, but tee boxes, fairways, greens are all in excellent conditions. Staffs are very friendly, free yardage book! Very few courses today offer. The slope of does not reflect the true difficult level of the course. IMHO, it should be above 130 at least. Will play again

Nice Maintained Course
For an inexperienced golfer I found this to be a very nice course. My playing partner (guest) really enjoyed playing the course.
Great Bones
Ex tourney course from the day, yes it needs some work to get the grass on greens and fairways up to par - kill the weeds should be the #1 priority, but still very playable and a challenge for any level. Friendly and a bargain round.

Nice layout
Nice layout, greens were consistent with speed, allowed in most cases for recovery with errant (off fairway) shots.
Would definitely recommend the course.
Many were playing, so there was some waiting on the tee box for each hole, but pace of play was still ok.
