About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Great New Find
It was the first time playing this course. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They ran the golf carts out to our car and gave us lots of direction. Course was in good condition. The tea boxes and greens were in good shape and the fairways were just fine. I can’t wait to go back. It is a very challenging course but a lot of fun. I would recommend course to anyone.

Solid
Love the course layout. Super friendly staff, excellent practice facility. Downfall is the ridiculously slow pace of play. The rangers and pros should be preaching a faster pace of play. Waited to t off on almost every hole.

We have played here several times and always enjoy it. The greens were the best we’ve ever seen them, roll true and fast, but hold nice on approach shots. Can’t say there was anything bad about the course, throughly enjoyed and would recommend

Fun golf
Playing as a single to start then asked twosome in back of me to join up. Pace of play good but the best part was the conditions. Greens were fast and true. A wonderful day and course to enjoy. I can see why others have found this little jem.

True Beauty!
I had a guest from out of town and we played here at 12:52pm on 02/02. The clubhouse staff was great. The moment we got to the starter, he started telling us that we were late (12:51 on my watch) and that he would get another group ahead of us, which was fine by us as one of our guys had ordered a sandwich and was waiting for it. We explained that but yet the attitude was not acceptable. Nothing ruins your day of golf more than a starter that just wants to argue. Anyways, the course was in great shape and we loved playing there and will play there again! OVERALL A+ ! Must play!

Sand please
Tight fairways, small greens, water and houses everywhere. Literally driving your cart thru , around and in between homes. Having never played before, a few well placed signs to help players to the next hole in some spots would help.
Overall conditions are good, except the bunkers. I was 4-5 of them, and even tho they looked maintained, it was solid ground under about 1/8 inch of sand. Cost me an extra shot every time.
Their seemed to be a bunch of the same type holes. Tee off to the fairway that runs into water at about 250 yards from the white tees, then over some water to a small, protected green. 3 par 3s, 4s and par 5s on the front 9 is different.
If I lived in the area , this would be in my rotation. I recommend.
