About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Super slow sanded greens, wait a few weeks to play
Fairways and tee boxes look great. However the greens were punched and sanded, very slow, not good to putt on. Try again in a few weeks.

The layout is dangerous
The layout of the course has many holes that run parallel to others and the greens are less that 50 feet away from the tees on other holes. Many shots from players on other holes were dangerously close to hitting us and several were playing shots that were in our fairways.

Don’t play CCMD for at least a month
Greens are punched, fairways and rough need mowed. Bunker not raked rock hard. Need to put effort when charging what they are.

Course is in good shape.
Course had been aerated recently so Greens were still not perfect. But playable. Fairways and tee boxes were very good. I thought the areas
around the greens could have been cut a little shorter. But overall the conditions were very good. Sand traps all nicely groomed. There are a fair number of forced carries over water, which are difficult for my wife.

Great course! Fun layout!
Golf course is in great shape! At this time the greens are aerated, but with small tines, so not bad. Grass is lush in the fairways and around greens.

Great lay out and overall good condition
Greens were a little bumpy due to to recent aerification, bot plenty playable. Fairways are in good shape and the layout is nice. Will definitely play here again.

Didn’t see any warning about the airification on GolfNow when booking. Looks like it was just done. Overall course is nice, just be a bit for the greens to get into shape.

Nice course
Course has some challenging holes and is fun to play. Greens could use a little work but conditions were generally good. Good value.

Great course
Returned here today, and even without the GolfNow great price, it reminded me of what a great course it was. Great condition, challenging but fair, a real treat. Only minor drawback is the staff- not a smile to be found! Go play anyway, you’ll be smiling!

Challenging course but fair
Our only complaint is the greens were not up to "par". Not so much disease but player not repairing ball marks which end up leaving dents and dead spots. This is such an interesting course and fun course to play when it is in nice condition. I do recommend playing and hope others will repair ball marks in the greens. Weather has not helped as they are soft but no excuse for not repairing them.
