A par 3 beauty Photo submitted by webelos on 01/14/2014
Another fantastic experience
Course in great shape, staff friendly.
Great experience every time.
Good value
Greens were in terrific shape although slow due to a weeks worth of rain making it impossible to cut.
The over-seeded fairways had about 2" of Rye growth again due to recent rain.
Once they cut the fairways and greens along with rolling the greens, it will be in very nice shape.
Really nice Course
After a week of rain, course was in good condition. Some fairways & bunkers had standing water.
All in all a really nice course.
Slow play on a beautiful course
A typical Countryclub course, with water coming into play but almost no rough. Very well maintained.
However, a four ball way ahead of us caused terrible slow play and no ranger to correct this. It took us 5 hours for the round! When we finally finished it was 4:30 and the bar was closed! Not only the bar. For the restrooms one had to walk over to the swimming pool. We were more surprised than irritated by this, but it’s no problem to find a drink in Mt. Dora
Good conditions but pace could be looked at.
We had to play behind a large outing so it’s possible that the foursome in front of us was part the slowness . But one guy in that foursome hooked his ball onto the street on a par 3 (which is OB and didn’t hit a provisional?!?!) he kept looking for it in the median and the other side of the street for over 5 minutes. even his cart partner joined to look and was never found . None of the other guys told him to drop and hit another until past 7 mins . It must’ve been a very valuable ball, lol. We didn’t see any marshal driving around either to enforce pace. Anyhow, greens rolled decently fast and true. Fairways and tee boxes were in good condition. The course is actually pretty hard (I played green tees, one back from tips) . The first three holes are tough (for me, I’m a 9.7 ) some of the other par 5 was also pretty tough . So be ready to course manage. We will return, but will double check if their tee sheets are full and there’s no outing to follow .
Course is typically in good shape and that was true on this trip as well. Greens were a little “uneven” because of fertilizer and not rolling the greens. Speed was fine but reading breaks was challenging at times. Staff is always welcoming which makes it enjoyable…we will be back.
Hadf a good day. Course was in very good condition. No rain in Florida hasn't helped the grass getting green. Greens were fast and true.
Perfect Afternoon
This golf course los always in great shape. Played alone in the afternoon and played 9 in an hour and fifteen minutes. A perfect afternoon on the golf course
Great Value
Played this course for the first time.
Great layout and condition.
Gave us a yardage book when we signed up.
This was very valuable because this course requires quite a bit of local knowledge.
Friendly staff.
Highly recommend playing it.
We will play it again next time in area.
Always a pleasure
We come twice a year to Orlando and make sure we play this course each time. Great course for the money. Never disappointed us.
We will keep coming back as long as we can.
