About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Course is in terrific condition , starter advised the course was booked all morning- it was not a problem, as we never had to wait to play a shot. The only issue is the numerous areas of fire ant infestation, it is easy to step in a mound or find them on a rake in the bunker. But if you pay attention to where you step- all is good. The greens are in perfect condition and this is a great place to play.

I've generally been very favorable about this course; play it often! Saturday was typical of ccmd; friendly staff, good conditions, and great pace of play ( I did play later in the day)!

Great Day of Golf
First time playing this course, really enjoyed playing and the staff. Had a great time, pace of play was perfect never waited on tee box or green. Some greens suffered a bit of summer fungus but overall were pretty good. Fairway was well kept, some bonkers were hard on the bottom from recent rain. Challenging with a lot of water, but a very fun course that I will play again.

Great day
It was like a private Cc. We played in 3.5 hours. The greens were fantastic. Fairways were great. No complaints at all except the halfway house was closed....it was Monday.

Beautiful course
It was a great weekday of golf on a beautiful course. Fairways and greens were great… rain had packed some bunkers, overall good.

Nice course, Nice Staff
We played for the first time and was very impressed by how nice everyone was from checking in to the starter Al. He talked us thru the course, how the holes played around the water and greens. The course was in good condition, the traps were hard sand but probably due to the rain. We got caught in a 10 min rainstorm which caused a couple greens to have puddles. We will definitely be back to this course.

Yesterday commented on the unfriendly staff; today, with a different guy behind the counter it was much better! He immediately recognized me (I play here often) and they got off the first tee quickly.
