A par 3 beauty Photo submitted by webelos on 01/14/2014
Very good outing
Great layout
Pace of play ok
Some tee boxes need help
Very friendly staff
Pleasant Surprise
Had never played this course before and had no idea what to expect.
Course was in great shape and very challenging.
Pro Shop provided yardage book which was very helpful for first time playing the course.
Lot of local knowledge required to position the ball off the tee.
Dragging pace
This course is set in a nice neighborhood and is a beautiful course. Plenty of water and bunkers for a challenge, but the pace of play was so slow. We waited on every hole. We were a twosome but there was nowhere to go even if someone let us play through, there were plenty of groups waiting ahead of us. Hard to get a rhythm going. The drink cart had last call at 11am which seemed a little early. The halfway house was closed at noon which also seemed a early. Very pretty but crowded course for a Tuesday.
Challenging Layout
Great round until we caught up with 2 players(older) on the back 9 that had no intention to pick up their pace even when the ranger came thru. Ranger needed to be firmer as the pace of play cam eo a crawl for us and many others behind us.
Good shape
Didn’t see all the water in the bunkers…we did have a lot of rain in the area though. Took a lie in one that had some water. Anyway.
Greens were not grease lightning however consistent. Tee boxes were ok, easy to find a good spot to hit from. A couple green had the oil or whatever spill. That didn’t hurt the roll. Fairways we’re good as well. Everything was clean in the nice clubhouse as well as the on course outhouses. Saw a Bald Eagle. Definitely will be back…again.
Great Couse and Value $$$
Played CC of Mount Dora before although it's been a while. My experience was the same from last time great course and layout. Some holes the fairways they could teak and clean up and the tee boxes. Overall I had a great round enjoyed playing the course and I'll return. I would recommend playing the course to other golfers and friends management is consistent in trying to make your experience a good a the course. Great job!! Keep up the work and make those changes to the course.

Always a fun place to play.
CCMD is always in pretty good condition. Fun layout and a challenging course with a lot of water and OB. Greens had been punched about 2 weeks ago so another week or so after they recover it will good to go. 👍

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience caused by the recent maintenance on our greens. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the layout and challenge of our course. We look forward to having you back soon!
The course was very wet. We had to use ruff or cart path only. A lot of standing water. The group in front of us, was a foursome and very slow.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the wet conditions and the slow pace of play of the group in front of you. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention and for leaving a review.
All good
Tee boxes a little beat up but all else pretty good.

We apologize for the condition of the tee boxes and appreciate your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Beautiful and well cared for. Staff at proshop great! Only wish clubhouse would have been open on a Saturday afternoon for food. Arrived at 3:07 to be told no food no exceptions. Staff in restaurant not as cordial. Beef O'Bradys got our business insead.

Thanks so much for your review. We're so glad you enjoyed your round at The Country Club of Mount Dora. That's what we like to hear! We hope to see you again soon!
Marshall needed
Generally the course is in good condition, aerated greens exception. The only issue was pace of play; we were stuck behind 2 foursomes that did not let anyone through. Course was not busy and normally we would play in under 3 hours but thanks to the two foursomes, it took 4 + hours.
