About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Golfnow attitude
They recently put some policies in place that suggest they don't really want golfnow members! If your tee time is 11:00 don't expect to get out early even if the tee sheet is empty prior to your booked time! Wasn't always like this but .....

Fun course -
I like this course and drive an hour to play it, i do wish the staff were friendlier, can you at least just pretend that you appreciate our business. Everyone in my group commented on this and they were total strangers.

Staff needs work
Tend to avoid this course because of the staff today was no exception. Not friendly at all. Course was good conditions as always.

Great Shape
The course and greens were in great shape. A few spotty tee boxes but not bad for mid-summer Florida! Kudos to the staff.

Love this place
Great course in great shape. Friendly staff.
Only negative, bunkers need more sand or at least work them.

Get some control of members!
The course is great all around! My problem is the members who don’t know the words, “play through.” When they’re 2 Foursomes oand a single, who is not chasing his ball around, you let them through! Poor golf ethics! I have complained about this before with no resolution.
Amazing to me how the rangers don’t make a suggestion to speed up!

Great shot makers course
Arrived at the course with storm clouds bearing down fast. The starter recommended playing a shorter set of tee’s than I normally play. (Good advice) The course is kept in great condition. The fairways are nice as is the greens. Greens were a little slower than I had hoped for, but this time of year in Florida is maintenance season for golf courses. The layout demands shots made to set up your 2nd or 3 shot. I really enjoyed my time playing this course and will be returning very soon. We had some heavy rain after the 4th hole so waited a bit to clear. Didn’t play out of bunkers due to heavy rain. Cannot give a fair review of bunkers, but their are plenty of them.
