About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

This course is fantastic. The condition is first rate. The layout is challenging. The greens are amazing.
To slow
Stopped after nine had to wait on every hole. I was a single but no way to play through since it was so clogged up.

Good course
The best golf course and best condition in the state.
It's not even the best course in the area, let alone the state. It's good for what it is. At the right price, you can't beat it.

Usually All Around Good
Maybe it was an unusual day, play was a little too slow. We waited on almost tee at least 5-10 minutes. A slow group ahead really dragged it down. It is Florida normal, never do I see a 'marshall' on the course, let alone a marshall that will actually push a slow group.
Otherwise, course and greens are in great condition.
Tight fairways
Enjoyed this course. It’s all about course management. Reminds me of Texas gold. Lots and lots of trees. Landing spots are narrow with water hazards nearby. Makes for a fun and challenging round. Be sure to bring extra balls. Great value
An interesting course definitely worth the 50 min drive
We thought this was a challenging course with lots of interesting holes with plenty of water. It was in good condition and the greens ran true and fast.
We had a problem on one hole with four groups on that hole including two single players. One of the staff came out & sorted it out very quickly. All the staff and golfers we met made us feel very welcome.
Looking forward to playing it again and having an idea of where some of the lakes are waiting to give your tee shot a watery grave!
Superb course
Nice course, some holes more difficult but overall a very good experience. Price was also A1
Mount Dora Country Club - a gem
We made another visit to this beautiful course, situated well outside Mount Dora, despite its name! We received a warm welcome from the staff and thoroughly enjoyed our round. We were sorry not to have time to sample the catering in the attractive restaurant.
Nice course with some challenging tee shots
Nice layout and good speed on greens. There were a few challenging tee shots, especially the Par 5 on the back nine. Enjoyed the course and the conditions were very good, was worth the 50 minute drive for me..

One of my favorite and best maintained golf courses in central Florida. Overall a great bargain. Would highly recommend it.
fun course
Played this course several times, each time is enjoyable. The layout is interesting and was in great shape, lots of grass on tees, fairways, and greens. Good speed on the greens, not too fast but played true.

I'll be back
This day was the slowest pace I ever played ! I will not go into detail but I had enough at the 15th hole I Quit for the day!Other groups were complaining also.
Good course for a very reasonable price
Played as twosome. Pace was very good (3 3/4h). Course is in average condition, but well playable. Greens are good. Bunkers, fairways and tee boxes need some attention, but are still well playable. Overall an average, but good track for a very reasonable price.
Good round - Good people
The tight but interesting course is always nice to play. For a relatively short course there is a lot of potential trouble to get into. The greens were a bit slow but still a nice round.
The staff in the ptoshop and the grill room are wonderfully friendly and helpful.
