The Country Club of Mount Dora

It was great but had to stop after 13 holes cuz of torrential rains

Course is in good shape, some of the greens have some distress that Club is working to correct.

Many of the greens and tee boxes were in bad shape, they need some TLC in a hurry.

The staff, from the starter to the cart maintenance

barn, are proud of their layout and personable to boot.

Every hole is unique with no parallel fairways.

Like many other central Fl. courses the weather has challenged tee and green maintenance, but these are

not bad. Consistent green speeds and well raked bunkers on most holes.

I was in town for work and found this course near my hotel. Played twilight. Great rate. Greens rolled true. Ended up with a 76 and really wish I could play it again. Birdie the par 5’s and keep it simple would be my advice. Oh and I had never seen an aquatic range. That was pretty neat.

Great course with challenging layout. Easily accessible of the 429. One of my go to courses. Play it at every opportunity. Highly recommend it.

Very challenging from 6400 yds. Awesome layout. This is a shot-makers course. Five stars all around except for conditions which I gave four stars only because the greens were a touch picky. They were fast just like I like them and ran reasonably true, but losers have to fix their ball marks, and they were a little bit picky as mentionex above, but it did not diminish from the experience. This is a great course all around. I must play it again now that I know where to play my shots. Short par fives are not easy because of very small landing areas. Not a bad lie anywhere and the carts were top notch. I had a tee time at 3:45 behind the course's Nine and dine and we still got around in three and a half hours. I'll definitely be back.

Enjoyable round, but for the little guy on 15 and 16 who was stealing balls in the fairway and selling them for $1 to other golfers, all while putting himself at risk of getting hit. Fun course to play. Harder than it looks. Could use with fewer 90 degree angles. Will play it again though!

The course was in decent shape and there's no doubt the recent rain helped immensely. Greens were a little thin on grass on a few holes but very puttable. Overall, I would suspect conditions to improve as we enter the rainy season.

Course is in very good shape. Greens well kept. Nice tight layout. Good day and an enjoyable course to play.

Ranger and starter were obsessed with us finishing in a certain amount of time because they needed the “carts” because they had a tournament later in the day. Honestly it’s not the guests fault you booked a tournament and need carts maybe you shouldn’t sell rounds to normal guests then if that’s the case.

Have played here several times and have always enjoyed it. I felt that the conditions weren’t as good as usual. The fairways were super baked due to the drought and several of the greens were having issues. But it’s still a good track and a great value.

Love this course. Great layout in great shape. Some bunkers a little shallow, nothing a truckload of sand wouldn’t fix. Course will be even better if we ever get some rain. Staff friendly, attentive, responsive.
