Royal Oaks Golf Club
About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

Good course but nothing special.
A very nice course, the tee boxes play well, the fairways are cut well, and the greens are amazing they are cut low so they roll really fast. The clubhouse and pro shop are great. The putting green is big. The driving range is no where here the course, it is down the street a mile. The course itself is not very challenging. Only two holes have water (17 and 18) the rest are tree lined and have well placed bunkers. There are a wide range of yardages from 6400 to 4990. Overall a course that is well worth playing and I had a great time playing and I think you will too.
Nice course
Course in good shape other than the greens were aerated.
Excellently maintained course with a nice layout.
Have played this course before. The layout is good. It is very professionally maintained. You get good value.
Great course
Have played Royal Oaks several times and really enjoy the day. Good challenge and pleasing holes.
Don’t care about their customers
I was to play today but when I got there they said I could not have my own cart I think they need to look at what they are doing in the clubhouse they have a table in front of the counter and a plexiglass shield in front of the the cashier so they are safe but they want me to sit next to a complete stranger for four hours but they want use to use face masks and social distance while around there staff
I will not play at this course because they don’t care about my health at all I always love playing at this course but I will not be back so if you want to take your life in there hands then good luck
JUST GO PLAY THERE!
Greens are great...move it in the fairways...tees who cares....get a good deal from Golf Now and enjoy this tree lined course.
A very nice course to play. Enjoyed myself and had a good couple to play the course with. It was a little hard to get through the gate but once inside it was easy to get to the course.
Royal oaks
Nice course greens in good condition fairways could be better worth the money
Worth the price
Loved the greens. True n fast. Tree lined fairways. Reminds me of courses I first started on up north. Some holes challenging. No water holes. Fairways playable but some bare spots. The only bad thing I saw was some holes the chipping area around the greens lacking grass. Still enjoyed playing there. Will play it again
Too many negatives to give this one more than fair rating
So let's start at trying to get into the course. Unless you are a resident, allow 10+ minutes to get thru the gate. No humans there, you have to insert your drivers lic into an automated system and repeatedly hit a call button to tell some person 1,000 miles away you are here to play golf. We finally get to the pro shop to find they deleted our golf now reservation. Luckily there was one guy there who had known they were accidentally deleted as the guy ringing us up was about to turn us away. I'm already grumpy from this and it only gets worse at the first tee log-jam that put us 30 minutes past our scheduled tee time. Hopefully it's gets better from here.... NOPE. Pace of play was terrible, 5 hours (maybe 5:15) to play the round, not one ranger on the course to move things along. We were a 4-some waiting on every hole for a pair of very slow 3-some in front of us. Ruined my back 9 play with all the waiting from shot to shot.
The course itself is not bad at all, actually quite nice. Wide open fairways and greens were in good shape (a bit fast, but good) Tee boxes were beat up on most holes but could live with that. I could not find anywhere to get a drink or snack (if there is, it was hidden). Not one trash can on the course.
It's a shame that all the negatives above ruin what would be a nice, easy, fun course to play. I would like to try the course again but won't based on everything I mentioned above.
It’s a pkay
Great layout fast play and good condition greens are perfect
Course was in great shape and greens true..had a wonderful time..highly recommend playing here..don't listen to the idiots about slow play..always going to be a wait at good courses
