I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Really Challenging Course
Grand Cypress (N/S) is the real deal. The course is so demanding and the greens are so undulating that you are in for a true test. That being said, it's a great course!
The course has also added a couple of new holes which were fun to see.
I would definitely recommend the N/S nines for experienced golfers or if you're just looking for a one day, check out the new course.

course was in good shape . staff was nice. pro shop well stocked
Toughest Greens in Orlando
Grand Cypress has 27 holes and then an 18 hole links course. The North/South nines are the toughest in my opinion. There is a reason they played the LPGA Tour Championship on this course. The greens are easily the toughest in Orlando. There are so many humps and hills that avoiding a 3-putt is impossible.
Overall the course is a challenge. There are no easy up and downs. It's fun to play, but have patience.
Best course in Orlando!
Grand Cypress is by far my favorite golf course in all of Orlando. Each course at the resort (North, South, East and New Course) is always kept in perfect condition and it is worth every penny. You won't find a part of the course that is run down. The greens are in impeccable condition, the fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. I dare you to find something wrong with any of the courses on property! The ice and water machines are a nice added bonus throughout the round on certain holes, especially on those really hot, humid days!
Perfect course
This course is out of this world. If you are in Orlando - you have to play this track. Beautiful setting, tough holes, absolutely incredible.
Highly Recommended
This is an amazing course. Its a great experience getting to play at Grand Cypress.
Incredible
This is the nicest course I have played in central Florida. The greens are immaculate and the fairways are better than the greens at most courses.
My favorite golf club
One of the best in Orlando. The course is alway well maintained and in top condition. The greens are fast, but roll true. We got a great deal from golfnow as always. Anything under $70 to play at grandcypress is a deal, especially if they offer unlimited play. Summer rates are even lower at $30-60. I've enjoyed playing at Grandcyress as much as Waldorf and Ritz; even more since we've paid a lot less. If you're visiting Orlando, make this place a must stop and you won't regret it.
IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE BEST HERE IT IS
BEAUTIFUL, CHALLENGING, SUPER CONDITIONS. A MUST PLAY IN CENTRAL ORLANDO.
Great Resort golf
With a North, South, and East 27 great holes, and 18 with the New Course which is fun to play as well. Great location for guys golf trip.
poorly run
The course is terrific but our cart died om the 16th and after waiting 30 minutes for another cart it was dead too. we waited another 30 minutes and by then it was too dark. For a course this expensive it is a joke.
South 9 is the one to play!
Played South to East. South was in fantastic condition. The East was very nice not to the standard of the South. I would try to play South/North.
great golf
It's an excellent course to play. It's in great shape and the staff is friendly.
Great layout, minor improvements needed.
I played the East South layout by myself in late November. The pace of play was very fast as I didn't catch up to anyone until the 13th hole. The layout on this course is fun and challenging. Some of the greens are not very forgiving if you are off target. This is a great golf facility with free range balls and a great dining area and bar. The staff is very professional and treats everyone well. I am a local and I would recommend this facility to anyone staying near Disney over Waldorf Astoria. The only thing I noticed is that some of the greens are a bit patchy, but it looks like they are working to address this issue. Overall the speed and roll of the greens is pretty solid.
Fun Day
Greens on East Course are very small; premium on ball striking and accuracy. North course has 2 new holes, #7 and #8, both of which are very similar to the original holes. An info sign on the tee would have been nice explaining the reasoning. Range balls were very old. Fun time had by all. Will definitely come back.
Beautfiul course....friendly staff
Had a great time with my family. Challenging and creative holes with varying difficulties. We will certainly go again!
Course was in great condition, pro shop staff a turn-off.
Booked a tee time for 12:50, arrived in the proshop 15 minutes prior so we could hit a few balls on the range. The staff member working the register casually mentioned our tee time was 12:40 and when I questioned that, he in a very unfriendly way told me I needed to read the fine print on golfnow.com and that they had the right to move our tee time as they see fit and that we were to head straight to the tee box. I'm okay with the move, just some courtesy would have been appreciated. Unfriendly staff makes for a very unimpressive experience - especially for the price Grand Cypress charges.
They only want your money
When booking on golfnow the course does not give you a tee time. They fit you in when there is space. You may wait 30 minutes after the time "booked" until you actually get to play. Also call the course to check on conditions. Greens were over seeded and topdressed, yet golfnow did not have a course alert to let us know. We booked a 1:00 tee time, didn't get to play until 1:30, and greens had sand all over them. For $80 on a Tuesday afternoon you can do much better.
Maintenance of course is excellent!
I would probably not play course again because course did not have enough differences in each hole. All holes were much the same. Other courses in Orlando were more diversified.. However, the maintenance of course was fantastic.
paid for N/S/E but played "New Course" due to dbl booking
Arrived 11:15 for our 12 noon tee time and was told they could not get us out before 12:50, which they blamed on Golfnow for double booking. When I protested the long wait, they offerred to put our group out half hour earlier if wished to play the New Course, which they characterized as equivalent - its not!!!
