I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

simply fantastic
I played the North and South combination and apart from the first hole on the North this is a very strong layout and in super condition, there appears to be a few new holes but they have made a great job of them and don't look out of place, it gives you plenty of birdie chances as well as having it's tough holes, the whole experience at grand cypress never lets you down, have also played the new course and would return to any of the courses in a minute.
Great experience playing nice course. played using mixed tee format
the course, clubhouse, and property gives you that private country club feel at a public course price.
Course condition among the top 3 in Greater Orlando Area
I have played almost every golf course in Greater Orlando (minus Bay Hill) and this course conditions is among the absolutely best. North and South is very challeging. East is moderate. The scenery on South course is fantastic. New course is also moderate and the funny thing is that hole 1 and 18 looks very similar to The Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland where I have played 2 times. The staff is fantastic. If you come to the Orlando area do play Grand Cypress. John Petersen, Skanderborg, Denmark
A good time for sure
Our foursome enjoyed playing the course for the first time. It was fun to discover each new hole. Some holes parallel each other a bit close and couple of times, we had players directly in front of us going the "other way". Greens were good fun and hard.
Greens just top dressed
We played south to east. The south course was in fantastic condition. Greens were super fast. The east course had recently been top dressed and greens were super slow. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall both courses are challenging for the average player.
had a great time but over crowder
It was very obvious to me that the locals have the run of the place. I had a tee time at 12:20 and the marshall held the tee time before me for 20 minutes. I was directed to play at a different course where I was put between 2 foursomes and I had to wait the entire time. With that said, I still had a nice time.
Very beautiful course
Love the course, challenging. I would want to play there again.
Great track in great condition. Best I have seen it in 5 years.
Actually I wrote an email directly to the operation.
Outstanding service with great appreciation from check in to
actual play on course.
Course in great condition and landscaping on 2 new holes was beautiful.
I am 2 handicap player who looks for great tracks like this
in tournament set up conditons to test my skills.
Kudos to Grand Cypress mgt. and kudos to the superintendant.
The greens on one nine were recently sanded. The course is scenic and well maintained.
Enjoyed the tract. Small greens on one nine, but holes are short
Great fairway layout.
The different slopes and shapes of fairways make it challenging but fun - never boring.
Spectacular course and experience!
This was our first experience with golfnow.com and we weren't sure how it would work out for us. We are avid golfers who travel the world, playing for fun. We could not have been happier with our first experience not only with golfnow but with this amazing golf course! Wow!
Great place for golf
This golf course is in excellent condition. If you are a visitor or a resident this golf course is a good place for a round. Only thing is you have to be patient it could take a while to finish a round of golf. The pace is very slow. But overall is a great place for golfing. I recommend.
The South ALWAYS rises at Grand Cypress
Rare do I play the same property on consecutive days, but after playing the New Course for the first time and noticing how perfect the South Course looked as I drove in & out...it was an easy decision. The South nine just really impresses me from start to finish. Short Par 4's like #1 & #5, a potential four putt green at #4 and THE toughest third shot on a Par 5 in all of Orlando...to the outlandishly elevated green on #6. Personally, I always follow that by playing from the championship tee at #7 since it is elevated even higher. Of note, Par 3's that share a green for #8 on South and North (along with the Par 4 #7 on the North) are being replaced by totally new holes starting in about a week or so. I'm told this will further enhance the two nines and even more good things are coming after that to this already first-class golf resort.
Beautiful courses
Second time I played a high end course.
This week I played also at the Waldorf Astoria so my review for this course is based on my experience at these two courses.
Valet parking and bag service was OK but not as good as at the Waldorf Astoria.
Driving range balls were not included with booking through GolfNow, an extra 5 bucks is still fine for unlimited balls.
Dry Towels, Tees, good GPS system (not well placed in the cart, could not see the screen well) were included.
Booked at GolfNow for $50 plus tax and fees with no problem at the check-in.
The courses (all of them, N S E) were in great shape and a pleasure to play.
The east course is easier to play and the greens were not as fast or as difficult as the North or South courses.
Due to a tournament the driving range was shortened therefore it was not allowed to practice with the driver.
I expect to be able to practice with my driver when I have to pay for range balls, or I expect to be informed beforehand at the pro-shop when I pay for the balls.
The Golf course personnel were friendly and courteous , but the personnel at the Waldorf were outstanding.
HAVE FUN
Always in excellent condition
I have played all the Hyatts courses its always a pleasurable experience - we played the South & East courses the fairways are reasonably wide and the greens were emaculate quite fast and true - really enjoyed playing the 4 par 3s - 2 with water which were a lot harder than they looked reall good fun and great value with golf now - hopefully play there again soon
Great course. Disappointing coordination.
Booked a 730 am tee time through golfnow. Was informed when I checked in I was bumped to 750 and that "they fit in golfnow bookings around the time requested". Then I watched from the putting green as a lone idividual went out at the 730 tee time. Very annoyed by this dismissive approach to a paying booked tee time.
With a variety of courses to play you can maintian a fast rate of play.
Grand Cyress has an 18 course called the New Course and three 9 holes courses called the North, South and East. By playing the multiple 9 hole course and starting at the one which had no one on the first tee we were able to play 27 before afternoon showers.
All the courses were in great condition. To one of the starters "Jack", thanks for all your help in keeping everyone moving.
this course has great greens
the are fairways are plush and deep green. The greens are fast and true.Great time had by all.
One of the best courses to play in Orlando
Always one of the best maintained courses in Orlando.
Well laid out test of golf
A pleasure to play the greens were just under 12 on the stint starter was excellent ambassador for the course and it was in pristine condition . Don't putt on this course if you have the yips ! Great course I will be back again
