I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Nice day on the links
Interesting course worth the drive. A bit on the pricey side compared to similar courses.
east is horrible
Played the north and east....the north is decent but the east should be bulldozed. Terrible terrible conditions. Better value all over Orlando. $135 not worth it. Practice facilities are good.
Great Course and Layout
The South-East combination at Grand Cypress was an excellent challenge and layout by Jack! The course was not overly long and the well placed bunkers and water test your accuracy along with elevated greens and tee boxes. You are rewarded with accuracy and penalized for a lack of it. The course even offered an intermediate handicap system for golfers to play a combination of blue and white which is nice since my playing companion averages only 200-240 with drives and the blue par 3's would have been a bit of a challenge for him.
Must Play in Orlando
I had heard a lot about Grand Cypress and the amazing course that it is and I can say that it did not disappoint.
First Words from Starter..."You're Late"
Vacation splurge was the idea for this 9 hole round of golf. Called the course first to inquire about 9 hole round riding for 4 players with rentals on a Friday afternoon and the guy on the phone couldn't give me an accurate 9 hole rate or rental club rate.
Booked on GolfNow.com for 18 as the pre-paid time was better option than not knowing the 9 hole rate and walking in blind.
Rental clubs cost more than the round of golf and was $9 to $29 more expensive than what the guy quoted me on the phone. Got loaded up and hit the first tee to be greeted by starter saying we we're late. I booked a 1:50pm and we wer eon the tee at 1:42pm, he said you have to go by what is on the ticket and the ticket says 1:40pm. Bad first impression and I didn't even make a practice swing yet.
Course was tight for my all over the place drives but in really good shape and the layout was good. Very undulating which was tough on the beginner and senior golfers I played with. I picked this course for me but since they weren't having that much fun I didn't have much fun.
Very nice
Definetly the nicest, most well kept course I have played in the Orlando area. Wide open fairways and perfect greens. I will play this one every chance I get.
Good, but not the best at Grand Cypress
Liked the North 9 quite a bit, but just am not a fan of the South 9. I think the greens there are a little goofy and really are too severe for resort-type players.
It's so difficult to make putts and it's so different than the North side that it's too drastic of a change. I'd play the East/North combo before playing the South/North combo for sure.
Great Clubhouse - Boring Course
The reception at the clubhouse was fantastic. The restaurant was also excellent. Then the wheels fell off. The Pro Shop refused to check me in until 30 minutes before tee time. This meant I had to interrupt my lunch to get checked in. The two nines we played (E/N) were flat and boring. The course conditions were poor. The on-course amenities were largely absent. The pace of play was very slow. In summary, I would not recommend this course.
not worth money
ok course condition. rude starter. lazy caddie. I paid $10 tip to the caddie for club cleaning. but I found my club was not clened at all when I got back to the hotel. valet parking service is good. overall, not worth the money paid.
Not bad
Decent track. Not worth the money. Very similar holes. Staff not friendly or helpful
Class A facility
Top of line experience in all areas. Course in fine condition with much variety
Good course. Great service
Very good course. Played north and east. Not overly difficult but alot of good holes.
The bar and restaurant is fantastic. Service outstanding. Thank u Sharon!
nice lay out
very nice course played the North and east sides would play again .
Keep the pace
I like the new course better. I will give the easy / north a chance. I would like to play the north/south can it be played together.
SOUTH COURSE HARD BUT FUN
I played the East and South nines. The south is certainly a challenge and as close to a tour course as you can get. You need to know where on the greens to put your approach shots not just hit the greens. Although it gets its share of tourists, the conditions are kept upscale. The greens were very fast when they dried from the morning dew and the fairways were very nice. The range gets crowded early in the day and since the markers were up front, we weren't allowed to hit drivers, which is my only pet peeve. If you like a harder course, play the South, if not then book the other tracks.
North/South
One of the original resort destinations in Orlando, the North/South at Grand Cypress continues to be one of the best courses around. A classic Nicklaus design through a beautiful Florida setting. A few years ago, Grand Cypress re-designed the greens and this was unnecessary. Parts of the golf course have become too severe as a result of the re-design. Always in great condition, distinct holes and greens complexes that are memorable. A wonderful facility with spacious practice area, clubhouse and teaching academy.
Brilliant layout and great condition
One of the highlights of our visits to Orlando is the opportunity to play golf at Grand Cypress!
Fabulous courses in great order and super friendly staff.
Grand Cypress has it all!
Very hard course
As a beginner, I think this course plays very difficult. I think the North is the best out of the three. Great island green on the East course. Always in good shape, this is good if you want to impress friends and practice hard shots.
A Must Play in Orlando
Grand Cypress knows how to do golf...and do it well. All three of the 9's are pristine with each one including their unique challenges.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the course is in pristine conditional year round.
Go play at Grand Cypress, you won't regret it!
