I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Pristine
I recently replayed the North/South nines at Grand Cypress resort. Along with the East nine, these 27 holes are an excellent example of what resort golf should be. Any issues off the tee are readily visible, bunkers around the greens are well defined, and there are enough sets of tees to accommodate every level of player. Course conditions are terrific with the tees and fairways uniformly excellent. The greens are not overly fast but given their undulating nature, they are challenging without being unfairly quick. My only minor complaint regarding course conditions is no fault of Grand Cypress but the inconsiderate and lazy “guests” who fail to repair fairway divots and pitch marks on the greens! Given the not inconsiderable cost to play such a wonderful course, it is apparent many players have an abundance of money and a glaring lack of golf etiquette! Nonetheless, Grand Cypress is a real treat and should be at the top of every golfer’s list of places to play in Orlando.
First class golf venue
Everything about this venue is great. The staff are friendly, professional and the course was beautifully presented. Pace of play was great even though we were a twosome following several 4 balls. Also, the course is very good value through golf now compared to several overpriced hotel courses nearby.
Awesome course, in every way... 3some played in just over 3 hours. Conditions were fantastic, course was challenging, but fair.
Will be playing it again next time I’m in the area
Highlight of the week
We played Grand Cypress on Nov. 11 as our final round before heading home. The coarse was in great shape, the staff was very accommodating and the Pace of play was great. I look forward to returning Soon
Beautiful Course
Staff very friendly and the courses were in great shape. We played the east / north courses and can't wait until we get a chance to play the others.
Great “Non Resort” Style Course!!
Wow what an awesome course! My experience with most courses in the Florida areas are resort style and not at all challenging. I played the East and North courses and couldn’t have been more impressed with the conditions of the course as well as the layout. Tee boxes were in great shape, fairways were perfect, and greens were true and fast. Hate I only got to play down here once this time but I highly recommend this course for the better player looking for a challenge.
Awsome
Course was in excellent shape tee to green. Staff was very accommodating and very helpful throughout round. Would highly recommend!
4.4499 stars
Played north and south. South was much more difficult. Beautiful spot with several so called signature holes. Way above average but several spots where a player has to look at apartments and electrical towers. No gps on carts?
Thanks GolfNow for helping to get me a deal. I will be back!!!
Best “Resort” Course in Orlando
My personal favorite of all the courses around the attractions and resorts. Immaculately kept, greens were some of the best I’ve seen all year.

This course was a pleasure to play I really enjoyed the. Course and will be back in the future
Excellant as always
Course is well maintained, staff is friendly, and amenities are nice.
Good golf
I was going to play alone and was paired with two amazing guys from the UK... then we got to hole #1... the wait started... we had to wait the whole way until 16, when heavy rain started. There was a very nice guy, member of the club, playing with his wife behind us... the wait was so long that he joined us at hole 8 south course...
This gentleman even talked to Lary, the starter... I really mean waiting in every single hole... for at least a 20 minute delay... not kidding... at my group we’re getting almost all in GIR.. that was painful.. we had to make up conversation and lost completely the pace and rhitim....
About the course... great place, very organized and well landscaped. Greens at S course were way faster than E... should be around 10-8. Not my shots, but some bunkers with clearly hard sand beneath have spoiled some holes for my peers. After 4h30 we were again waiting to kill the 7th green of E course (16th hole for us) and it started raining heavily. We just drove back to the clubhouse. Great service there, I got the car back to bay hill where it was as sunny as a beautiful beach... like nothing happened... just some miles apart... Tomorrow will play again SE Grand Cypress with a friend... fingers crossed... in a nutshell... play there... awesome place!
Excellent, I like North / South very much
Played North / South as foursome and on 10/24 as threesome. Course is in excellent condition, very good pace. Greens not so fast as usual here, but excellent. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers well playable. Overall a very good track. Pleasant time after the round in club house restaurant. Very good food, cold beer and best coffee in Orlando :o).
Great Layout
I think you will really enjoy this course (we played the Norh & South). Just outstanding, greens are challenging and hitting the greens with the approach shot is a must or you will be left some very difficult chip shots to get it up and down. Greens were just great smooth and quick.
What a great course
Beautifull course, very challenging especially the South course, penal of the tee and quite small, elevated greens. Very Good condition. East was easier and nice to play. What maken this course stand out from many others is that there’’s no houses or hotels in sight.
