Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

Really nice golf course
The new course had a few critical reviews about hidden bunkers, blind shots and unappealing views. Well welcome to true links golf. I have golfed in Scotland, Ireland and England and much of what you find is well replicated. If I had one issue it would be that the greens are a little quick for the undulations. It made some putting quite adventerous, however, fun!
Cool Course
Played a round at the New Course while on a business trip and had a great time. Very unique type of layout for Florida, especially some of the holes that have double greens. It was very windy so some holes were extremely challenging, but it was fun regardless. Definitely one of those courses that would benefit to play again to understand course layout and green complexes. Fairways are very generous!
New Course
Different! Good condition. Wouldn't want to play every day but a nice change .
A bit overhyped. I might have expected too much based on prior reviews, it is a nice course and nice layout, but everyone else talked it up so much it didn't live up to the hype. Back 9 was in better shape than the front. Mats on the driving range was disappointing.
enough golf on one property
If you're looking for great golf in Orlando FL, where you don't have to drive around to play some different tracks you'll be surprised that you can get in many rounds here on the same property. I played 2 different Jack Nicklaus designs in one day. Avg cost per round $100 all in. Will be back to play New Course again. If you can't make it to St. Andrews, play here instead
Wow!
Had a great round here, this was one of the nicest courses I've played, for a mid handicap it was great to see the open fairways.
The practice faculties were top notch as well
Highly recommend!
Erhics
Twice in my round we met some guys playing music outloud. My opinion is that they should be sent off the course.
Grand Cypress New Course
Great course and staff but the pace of play was really bad fo such a high end course.
First time here a true links course
Played Grand Cypress New course first time. Found a lot of hidden bunkers on course which has a lot of wide open area to hit to. If you have never played a links course I would recommend playing here. Greens were very smooth and fast.
A must play
Enjoyable but challenging course. Very impressed with condition of the course. Staff very friendly. Will definitely play again next time we're in the Orlando area.
Links Feel with Great Course Conditions
This course was great to play. The first and 18th are exact replicas of he Old Course, which is kind of a cool feel. The rest of the course plays with large undulating hills and tough approaches to the green. Some holes lacked framing, which led to confusion about where to drive and approach. Greens are massive, and he fact that they run so fast/smooth will surely lead to three-putts. Overall, a really fun round that is nothing like what you'll find in FL.
Interesting course
It was an interesting course to play with the links style and some resemblance to The Old Course in St. Andrews. It was not your ordinary FL golf, so it was a nice change of pace.
Excellent course
One of the best courses in the area. Greens were in perfect shape and the fairways were also in excellent shape.
