Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

good course, but tee time from golfnow was not honored!
The New course is always great, even with punched greens... but their practice of not commiting to tee times setup via golfnow defeats the purpose of the service!
E-S better
They let me play the east and south as well and they are great. The new course is interesting but difficult to navigate without trees to clearly define the fairways
A coarse that looks like it was brought over from Scotland.
If you like links style golf this coarse is the one to play. Rolling fairways with deep pot hole bunkers and double greens.
Great course for having fun.
Course is pretty wide open with some really fun holes. I enjoy playing this course with friends and family from out of town because everyone can shoot a good score and have fun. Staff and facilities are top notch, top notch.
Great course
Always in good playable shape, staff is always very friendly.
Most fun course in Central Florida; closest you'll get to a British open course without being there.

Love the layout, links style. Stay out of the bunkers

totally cool! Unique!
If you are in Orlando and haven't played this course... You Must!! It is a must play. It is the most unique looking golf course you will ever be on. If you suffer from errant drives, this is the course for you. The whole course is a spray-hitters dream off the tee box, but it is totally fun to play!! Links style on steroids.
Unique, challenging and fun course to play.
Great golf course! Love the replica holes and will definitely play this course again. The greens were in great shape and rolled well.
First time at "The New Course"
This was my second visit to Grand Cypress, but first time playing "the new course." The course was immaculate and I can't wait to play it again.
New Course was an interesting track!
Played the New Course for the first time and had a great time! The course is well maintained, though the greens had probably been punched 2-3 weeks ago they rolled okay! Wide open fairways are great to play on, a little more direction on where to hit the ball would be nicer. The "pro tips" on the GPS are lacking! I plan on playing again!
Everything you expect
Great course. Valet parking-never touched our bags. Payed $65 plus tax for unlimited play. So we played 36. True links course. Open fairways lots of bunkers. Tough around the greens. Very fun to play and course conditions were great for July in Florida
St. Andrew feel here in the states
If you want a St. Andrew's type feel without going over sea's... Well this course is very similar. Great condition except for the air raided greens. Other than that well worth the money. The staff is super friendly and the facility is similar to a country club feel. First time out for my brother and my best friend... the wide open fairways was perfect for them.
Great course for the money
I played this course when it was being air raided which was a little frustrating on the greens, but we are not pros by any stretch of imagination so getting on a course as nice as the new course was a real treat. Especially for the price! The course was very open which was very suitable for my drive as it tends to go right or left, and there was very little water. Greens were a test, and watch out for all the bunkers. It's as deep as I have ever seen. We would all go back....
Great course with some great offers
Great tee time offer, sadly the course showed signs of failing to cope with recent rain fall, however the greens were running true.
Awesome experience and value ...
Not much to say except awesome course, professional staff and a heck of a value for what we paid on GolfNow! Would, and will, play it again if ever presented the opportunity!
Ole Scottish Links
Modeled after Scottish links-style track with enormous fairways, pot bunkers, water channels and shared greens. Very unique design. Had a wonderful time!
Pristine conditions indeed..
Fairways are gorgeous..Greens roll quick..surprisingly wide open fairways..with no trees ..few holes have water..bunkers are avoidable but definitely prevalent, some fairways have extreme undulation.. The layout is surprisingly simple..didnt really enjoy the 2 flags on 9 giant greens ..I had a difficult time getting used to the lightning fast greens .like rolling on cement...Most greens have dramatic ridges or slopes.. really practice putting green before your round..
Fun, wide open fairways, great condition.
Played the "New Course" by Nicklas. Holes desinged after Scotland courses including St. Andrews. Wide open fairways in excellent condition. Greens excellent as well. Four hour round. Avoid the deep bunkers. Returned for replay round late in the day (no charge) and played in 2 hours. Most fun I've had playing golf in years. I have a 11.5 handicap and played 3 other highly rated Orlando cousres. This was the best.
Course has a great layout, in tremendous condition and very playable, even for average golfers.
With a links layout, I expected to be playing out of bunkers all day. However, the bunkers are easily avoided if you can hit the ball reasonably straight. The fairways are wide for Florida standards, and I found I could easily put the ball even if 10 yards off the green. Fairways were in great condition and well marked. Staff was super friendly and informative. All in all, a great experience.
