Very slow play. Top dressed greens
Although the Marshall was on the job our five hour round was frustrating and took the fun out of playing. He should have offered a free pitcher of beer and had the slow group go to the next hole to speed up play. The greens were topdressed with sand and made putting unpredictable. Very nice course otherwise. Would like to comeback for another shot.
Not in the best of condition
After playing other Marriott courses I looked forward to playing Grand Pines, what a dissappointment. The fairways were in reasonable shape but the greens were disasterous, they needed cutting or rolling or something, you could see every old hole position and every pitch mark, they rolled maybe 5 on the stimp. Including this course with the other Marriott courses is tough. MetroWest and Falcon's Fire far outshine this course. One redeeming factor was pace of play which was an amazing 3:55, they can hold that over the others.
Typical Disney area course; well maintained, beautiful and challenging.
Winter rates in this area are to high for my wallet (and golf skill), but we got a good, last-minute deal through GolfNow. We played on a rare, winding day in Orlando and my buddy got punished for using driver. I played short but in the fairway and won at #18 when he found a deep bunker on his approach.
enjoyed the course very much
i signed up as a single female and was treated very well. the course was in great condition, especially when compared to some other courses I`ve played this vacation. it is a challenging course for the experienced golfer
With a little help this course could be a must play
As a first time player I felt the pace of play was too slow. The GPS system should be upgraded to ensure accurate hole distance, distances to other carts in play, and most importantly tips for players unfamiliar with course so they can play holes in a more timely fashion.
Better yet, allow players to walk the course and I will purchase any overpriced pocket pro they want to sell me in clubhouse.
Friendly Staff and great service
This course is well maintained and I'd play it again

The course was in good condition.
Due to layout being a resort style you really needed to know where to place the ball.
If you like resort style and target golf the course is for you.
The pace of play needs to be addressed.
Great course
Great course, well located. Steve Smyers did a great job on the redesign.
Very challenging good golf course
This golf course is for advanced golfers and is a good challenge. We play it every year at least once when we come to Florida for vacation. They offer some great twilight deals. Unfortunately pace of play was a little slow this year, in other years we played the round in 4 hrs 15mins
the course is very good
other than the slow play it was great. 5-1/2 was a bit much. It took 3 hours for the front 9 and 2.5 hours for back nine. It should have not taken more than 4-1/2 hours to play
Not too much water
Course is well laid out with water coming into play on some holes but not every hole.
The course is very fair, but the elevated greens make it challenging.
The staff worked hard to keep the pace of play reasonable. A very nice layout, generous landing areas and challenging, elevated greens.
Fair but challenging. Good value.
Great staff, beautiful course, perfect greens. Friendly to women as there were few long carries over hazards off the tee or tee to green.
Great golf course
Course was in great shape. Greens could have been a little faster but overall everything was great.
Slow Play and Slow Greens
Pace of play was slow, did not see a ranger until 15th hole. Plenty of bagboys but no rangers. Greens were very slow and uneven. For the green fees you pay ($100+) there are better courses in the area.
Course was very nice and quite attractive, but was managed very poorly on the day we were there.
Grande Pines is a nice course...attractive, good condition, nice challenge. We played the course during the second week in February. We had a 1:30 tee time. Just before we were to tee off, the course sent a very large group out for a shotgun start. So, while we were starting on the first hole, there all of a sudden were two to three groups on every hole right from the start. Further, people in the outing were cutting around, so we found ourselves with an additional group cutting in front of us on the back nine. We were prepared for a 4+ hour round of golf, but we had to leave the course after only 13 holes and five hours due to the shotgun tournament that they dumped us in the middle of. So, we really don't feel like we got our money's worth here. When we mentioned our issues with the staff at the pro shop, they simply said "sorry, but it wasn't their fault.
Course ok
Course was ok played others that week that were much better. Played slow. Ranger was not helpful or apologetic. Best hole was 10. Good warm up course and wished it was the first and not the last one I played that week. One great point 80 degrees when at home they had a blizzard. Overall I would play other courses in the area that are similar priced
Beautiful course
Overall great experience except for the almost six hours round!
Slow play and unraked bunkers
No marshals to be seen during a 5 hour round coupled with numerous unraked bunkers and unrepaired ball marks. A good track but not worth the money given all the available choices in Orlando.
great course
Absolutly love this course. One of my favorute in the area. You can always expect great service and great course conditions every time you play there. Challenging from the tips abd a fun diverse layout
