This course was beautiful
Wow-- really enjoyed playing this course which featured pristine grounds, helpful staff, and a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
Word of warning:
While the course is 7k yards on the card, the starters will make you play from the Men's forward tees (gold) if you're not a 10 handicap or below- still don't know if this made the course any easier, but did have a great time.
Additionally, was told by frequenters of the course that it's generally backed up and takes 4.5 hours + to play 18 holes, so plan accordingly.
The course is a great layout
The course had some difficult holes and some fair holes . With four set of tees you could choose your ability. I have to say their was three beautiful holes. I would recommend this course for price and lay out.
Great course, slow food
I've played here a few times and the course has never disappointed. It's not ridiculously long but is still very challenging and there are no two holes the same. The fairways are excellent, the bunkers are well maintained and the greens look good and putt true. Water fountains and restrooms are well positioned, and the course marshalls and staff are considerate and friendly.
The price you pay for that is reflected in the popularity of this course and play can be a little slow sometimes, though at four and a half hours for a four ball it's far from the worst I've encountered.
If i have criticism it's reserved for the kitchen. I arrived an hour early for my tee-time so I could have a sandwich for lunch but the preparation time was so slow I had to bolt my food and rush for the tee. Not good.
Having said that, I would recommend the course to anyone with a reasonable game as an enjoyable challenge.
Great golf course.
Beautiful course. Five star staff, service and amenity. Some stunning settings. Challenging for the average golfer. Will certainly return and will recommend to friends.
Great course near convention centers
Played late in afternoon. Very enjoyable course for the better players. May be a little more difficult for the avarage golfer. Course was in great shape!
Very nice course with a lot of good holes.
I would recommend this course. It has a lot of good holes and no real bad ones. The greens are undulating but the speed was fair for these greens. You can play it from enough distances that anyone can find a tee. The price is probably a little above average for other like courses we found in the area.
Ecstatic about this course!
A must play if looking for great courses in the Orlando area. Staff is courteous, friendly and enterprising from bag-drop to Pro-shop to cart girl! If you don't like playing safe on certain holes, bring an extra half-dozen balls! :) Practice your putting!
Very Nice Golf Course, Very good shape, excellent price.
Played the golf course on a weekday discount of $69.00 in January. That was a great price for the location. I was able to tee off at 7:42 and played in 3:15. Course was in very good shape. I thought the greens were a little slow, but that could have just been the bermuda grass. Highly recommend this course for that price.
5+ hour round
Course condition and Staff Friendliness were great. However, over booking tee times and having too many golfers on the course is a bad business practice.
Superb track
My wife and I golfed this course recently and both of us found it to be our favourite course in Orlando. The course was in great condition, especially the greens. The greens rolled true and were fairly quick for a public course. Some very scenic holes also made this a memorable golf outing. Highly recommend a round here.
Very nice, challenging
This course plays challenging from the green tees, fairways bottleneck, greens protected by deep bunkers. Great views and great staff, can be a little slow as there are many places to lose your ball, if you have a few high handicap golfers ahead expect a 5 1/2 hr round
Tough course and a slow pace of play
Tough course and a slow pace of play but a friendly staff and a well maintained course with fast greens made for a great round
What are the other reviewers talking about?
I played this course a few years ago and got rained out after 9 but wasn't impressed, but after reading the reviews I thought I would give it another chance. Slow, slow, slow! It took over 30 minutes to play 2 holes and when I asked the Ranger to help he said there was a bottleneck and it would improve. Wrong. I quit after taking 3.5 hours to play 12 holes. Condition is average, but greens are good. Unfair pin placements-I left a put slightly short and it rolled back towards me! Small practice range. This course is completely forgettable. I've played a lot ot great courses in Florida and this is not one! Noisy traffic, condos, helicopters-this is not my idea of relaxation. Most of the players have only played golf a few times-warning! I dont know what course the other reviewers are talking about, but either they don't know what they're talking about or got the name wrong. Do yourself a favor and go to Orange County National or Grand Cypress.
The course tends to EAT up golf balls.

Great green conditions.
Fun, deep bunkers.
Greens in great shape, ball rolled true
Greens great. Course was challenging and beautifully designed. It was a pleasure to play on such a nice sunny day.
Fun course with some neat risk/reward opportunities.
Fun course with some neat risk/reward opportunities. The course is well maintained - typical Marriott Resorts type course. The greens were recently treated and had sand which made them slow and not true. I'm sure this is not the norm. The staff is super friendly and gave us a cooler full of ice and an iced towel to help cool us done on a hot day.
great Fla course for the money, nice mix of challenging.easy holes
Being from the Northeast US course conditions are very important to me. By that i mean it is expected to have varying degrees of course quality in my area due to weather conditions and 3-4 months of 30-40 degree weather. Florida courses to me should be immaculate, and Grande Pines certainly fits that bill. I like the mix of pines lining a few holes and there is not an overabundance of water but a satisfactory amt in play.
I have played once in 2011 and twice in 2012
Conditions=great
value=great
Challenging but fun to play
Very interesting golf course, that is strategic, Greens were a little difficult to read. Rating goes down because of two holes 10 and 16, there's no were to hit it of the tee.
Great value for a very nice course!!
Went out as a 3-some, third group out, so played in ~3 hours. Course was in excellent shape, very pretty holes. We played from 6,600 yards, course was a challenging, pretty and interesting layout that was fun to play. Traps may have had a little too much sand, balls easily plugged, but the sand was fluffy and easy to play from.
It's a RITZ, need I say more
Whenever we travel and there is a Ritz golf course available, we will always play there knowing it is top shelf in all areas of a great golf course. Orlando is no exception. The entire round and every hole is a challenge and in the best shape possible. The greens are fast and true. The fairways are all plush. The Ritz always offers a great golf experience. The entire experience is well thought out in every area to make your playing a great round of golf. My hats off to the staff in making this an enjoyable time. We always look forward to playing any Ritz!!!
