Enjoyed the course. Was in great shape
The holes were challenging but fair. Greens were fast and also challenging. The staff was very friendly and the price we got on Golf Now was great. Would recommend this course to any golfer coming to the Orlando area.
course ALWAYS in pristine shape
we always play this course when we are in Orlando....the course is usually in pristine condition....this time course was overseeded and some fairways very shaggy...however the last 3 times we played round was OVER 5 hours....two twosomes in front of us should have been paired up....spoke with player assistant but to no avail....love the course but they need to speed up play
Course needs to MORE CLEARLY mention they are Carts on the Path and uncut fairways after overseeding.
This is a nice course, good layout, good greens, freindly staff, convenient location. But post overseeding conditions were not obvious on GolfNow prior to booking. On second look, there is a small almost innocuous note about this, but not in bold or highlighted text as it should be.
It was carts on the path only and basically uncut fairways, they were actually longer than the rough. And extremely wet. This needs to be communicated, for $80/player we should be made clearly aware of these facts as they would have influenced our decision to play here.
Great Layout, bad communication
A very challenging course with a great layout and visual appeal. Was not notified when booking tee time that it was cart path only due to over seeding. There was a thick application of fertilizer on all fairways and the irrigation was on all morning creating standing water on most fairways and tee boxes. The group in front of my group was a fivesome, I complained to ranger after it took 34 minutes to play the 5th hole and he responded “they made a deal with the starter” The starter was not playing behind them, I was. I would somewhat expect this at a $30 per round municipal course but not a $100 per round resort course. Other courses I attempted to play my trip notified me or were up front about over seeding and cart path only and I chose not to play them this trip, was not provided that professionalism from Marriott Grande Pines.
Fun and challenging course
While not overly long, the greens are mostly elevated and well defended with pristine bunkers. The holes are varied and very enjoyable for a mid handicapper like myself. The staff is excellent; this is my favorite course in Orlando.
Great course in super condition, minimal overseeding for late November.
This course is my favorite to play when visiting the Orlando area, which I do 2-3 times per year.
I have always found the course to be in great condition and the staff (Heidi) on Course) and (Amy) Bar and Snack service to be two of the most friendly people I have encountered anywhere in my travels.
I look forward to my next return.
Very nice layout.
The course was in above average condition. The only complaint would be that they had overseeded and it was cart path only. The staff was very friendly and the greens were very well maintained. Overall a great experience.
Good challenging course avoid bunkers
The course was in good condition, greens were in conditions and fast. Bunkers are deep and some lack sand.
Always the same
This is consistently the best course in Orlando today was no exception pity about the cart path only today for the over seeding
One good hole after another, Course in great condition
We found the course a good challenge off the green tees, there are some great holes with difficult greens.
The course was in good condition with fast running greens, the only complaint was the pace of play was slow.
Would however recommend this course.
A good deal
Played as 3-ball,, good pace of play as we were behind several 4-balls,, they moved well. Course was in very good shape. Greens were fast and true. Staff was great.
Fun, scenic, good condition..something for all skills. Good value
Teed off early in foursome and finished quickly..marshals kept things moving behind us. Course was in great shape, greens true, GPS on carts helped with blind holes. Good mix of water holes, challenges, with tees for all levels -- many scenic holes. I'm a six handicapper and had plenty of fun from middle tees. Good option for women also.
Highly rated place to play with good reasons. All greens were in super shape! Outstanding staff makes the experience memorable.
As always selecting the correct tee box is important as this course slope is 135/136 - there can be slow play because people don't use the correct spot to start... Expect play to be little slower for that reason. Consider an earlier start time as it is worth the money!
A great course in convenient location near amusements.
It has some strange hole layouts and it has some great hole layouts. Greens are good and fast - conditions are great. A good challenge for most golfers - requires reasonably straight drives since there is often trouble on both sides.
This course is great for all levels of play
This is a very popular course as it was very crowded. Recommendation would be to get our early as possible to avoid crowds towards the afternoon. The course has 4 tee boxes to choose from based on your level of play being 7000 yards from the farthest tee. The course has a lot of bunkers and very challenging doglegs that require accurate shots, however if you play from one of the closer tee boxes you can avoid some of the hazards that would typically await you. The course was so crowded that we ended up playing the front nine twice. It really was not bad because we played a different tee box the second time around which did actually present a different set of challenges and club selection. All and all it was a good outing and worth playing. I hope to get to play it again soon.
Longest round I n history
Course in good condition but too many players after five and a half hours only played 14 holes and then became to dark to play. Did receive a rain check for 9 holes but did not enjoy the round five groups on a hole is not mu idea of golf.u
This course has good variety in hole design
We were somewhat disappointed in the overall condition of the course - the tee blocks were definitely less than good condition and the greens were very average in condition and speed. For the price and reputation of the course we expected better conditions.
The greens were in great condition.
I would play this course again. We played from the green tees and 6,600 yards is long enough. the par 3's were bery challenging.
Very enjoyable experience
Course presents many challenges, especially the back nine. Greens undulating. Course conditions were very good and staff is friendly and helpful. Zipped thru the front nine, but had to wait on several tees on the back nine. Liked the "call ahead" feature for food and drink at "the turn". Would gladly return, but hope the pace of play is better.
enlightening delight
