The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

Cart paths & wooden bridges an issue
I would have rated the round better but for the cart trails and wooden bridges. (I wonder if the bridge going to the 4th Tee has been inspected recently ...).

Lots of great reviews but I was disappointed. Tee boxes had a lot of sand, some of the fairways were rough. If you like ATV off roading, this is the place for you. Cart paths were loooong and in disrepair. Tons of potholes and a really rough ride.
Greens were in decent shape and true. I will not be going back. Too many other great options close by for the same or lower price.
Nothing against the place, just not my cup of sand. I golf weekly and love a challenging beautiful. Course.

Very nice course
Greens were very good and fairways had a fair amount of green. A very good course to play and played with a very nice husband and wife. Would definitely play again.

Cart paths
Cart paths are in very poor condition. Long rides between many holes. Course cannot be walked.

Great track!
I'm on a snowbirding trip and have played several Daytona Beach area courses. I must say this is the most enjoyable layout. Free from resort houses and neighborhoods, it's a great layout through dense scrubbrush. I had a wonderful time. Will play it again. Very friendly staff.

typical Florida course
Walking is not allowed here because the layout is so convoluted you would walk more between holes than on the course. Yet there are no houses lining the course to explain this. Conditions are average with some of the greens a little beat up and slow. There are some holes with decent designs but not all. Typically tight Florida course: bounds a river so driver can stay in the bag most of the time. Best part was there were surprisingly no bugs - worst part is that course is infested with super seniors who play rather slowly. Overall, the place is just average; no better no worse.

Enjoyed this course
The first time we played it was chilly and a little damp. There was no one on the course so our pace of play was great. The next time we played it was a sunny day so it was very crowded and the pace of play was much slower. I didn't give the condition a 5 because some of the cart paths and bridges are quite rough. But the course is very scenic and I enjoyed the layout. It was in decent condition for the time of year.
