The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

Nice Course
Friends came in from the Carolina’s and wanted to play. The day was windy but a foursome with friends is enjoyable as long as it doesn’t rain. The course was in great shape, but the bridges on the course need repair.

Afternoon tee times in winter
This course is in great shape at this time of year! The problem is signing up unaware people for 18 holes when there is no chance of finishing the round. They have tournaments that run over time as was the case two weekends ago, confusion on the course this past weekend due to some other tourney causing delays, and an array of golfers that don't even recognize pace of play. Playing on a weekend is a fool's game.

A Venue for Fun on the Links at a Fair Price
I have played River Bend many times over the last sixteen years. It is a good layout, well maintained by the greens-keeper, all offered at a fair price. The most outstanding feature of this venue is the staff; all are very friendly and work to satisfy their customers. If I had to single out one complaint it would be the need for a course ranger to maintain an acceptable pace of play. The slowest group on the course sets the pace for all behind them; so some groups need to be asked to play faster or skip a hole.

Nice course
Course layout is excellent, but pace of play and cart paths are terrible. There is no fast cart riding and very bumpy. Greens were OK, but played really slow today. I like this course but know it will be busy and a bumpy ride.

Golfers R Great
I played as a single, teed of at 10:10. 2 threesomes and 3 foursomes waved me through. Joined 2 young guys for the last 6. Finished in 4 hrs! Awesome people and great day! Course could use a little TLC, but some really nice holes

A challenging course
Fairly tight course. Good condition except for sand traps w River morning d, not sand. Course should not go cheap on this crap. Difficult to take, let alone be able to hit a controlled bunker shot. Members we played with said it was a continuing problem. Greens were also very slow. But staff friendly, and grill room excellent
