The 18-hole River Bend Golf Club in Ormond Beach, FL is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1990. Designed by Lloyd Clifton, River Bend Golf Club measures 6821 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 72.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
At River Bend, designer Lloyd Clifton achieved his ultimate goal -- a perfect blend of natural surroundings combined with a competitive and scenic golf course layout. With no home sites, River Bend is situated along the historic Tomoka River. Play among majestic oaks, red cedars, pines and magnolias. Each hole is unique. Hole No. 8 is a long par 5, 616 yards. Hole No. 17 is a picturesque 3 par. No water is featured. A definite must for those who enjoy a blend of competitive golf and nature's offerings.

First visit to the course
The course staff and restauant/bar staff were excellent rThe course layout was great. The greens had been ariated so the putting wasn't the best but it has to be done. Will try to go back in the winter when the greens are in their best shape. Overall my wife and I had a great time there. Would definitely recommend it to other golfers.

Great value
If they would fix the cart paths...my kidneys would love this course. There are a lot of “straight ahead” flags...course is pretty narrow. For $23 bucks I’ll take it.

This course has a wide variety of holes..
Nice layout and sometimes a little bit tight but a lot of fun to play.
Greens are normally a little slow but in good shape.

Great Value for a Beautiful Course
This is a very nice course and for $17 for a short 9, can you beat it? Very unique cart path with multiple timber bridges. Most tee boxes were in good condition, greens were well maintained. I will say it was hard to be sure exactly where some of the tees were, signage could definitely be improved!

Florida swing
Forth golf day of our trip, this was a nice surprise. This course is a challenge of the tee.. it’s thight but fun. The greens were ok but mit perfect, great fairways

1st time
Course was in good shape. Staff was excellent. The pace of play was ok but it was Fathers Day so it was a little busy. The course is fairly narrow so you will have to be on your game to stay on the fairway. Lots of trees

Great greens again....
Grounds crew doing a great job. Heavy rain last night but new drainage and sandtrap work has the course in the best shape ever. Fairways and first cut rough very playable. Greens are among top three in Volusia and pins cut in challenging locations today like #14. I was behind a slow foursome that put 5 balls in the lake so I fixed 100 pitchmarks and was rewarded with a 6 over so of course I give Riverbend 4.5 stars.

The Starter is .....
So I like to play Riverbend twice a month and sometimes I go out by myself and get paired up with others to speed up play. I waited past my tee time to get paired with two players hitting from the red tees. A men's threesome played in front of us and also behind us as I hit from the whites each time and then let the red tee players hit their next two or three shots each before it was my turn to hut again....
