Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

Better pace of play than Friday Feb 04
Great course played in 4 hours, better than Feb 04 when we played in 4:55
Cold and Windy
The course, as usual, was in great shape. We always love playing Viera. However, Mother Nature did not cooperate. It was very windy and cold, so it was not a great day for golfing. No fault of the course.
Fast Greens
We enjoyed the round very much. The course was in nice shape and pace of play was good. This course is well groomed and overall arguably the nicest in the whole area. The greens were very fast, such that as amateur players, we struggled with that...missing our well aimed, but, far too speedy putts...so it goes. the staff is always friendly and helpful. We do enjoy this course every time we play here. Well worth giving this course a look see. Enjoy.
Too overbooked
The course was in good condition but they book tee times too close. The pace of play resulted in a 5 hour round. Because they overbook there was no time left to check out the restaurant.
4:50 Minutes to play 18 Holes
Great course, we have a tee time at 11:30 and it took almost 5 hours to play, no Marshall on the course, some peoples are playing the wrong tees, this is why it was so slow
Nice layout
In real good shape tee to green. Nice enough range and practice green. Nice layout. Pace not amazing. Typical Floridian move of groups playing the wrong tees. No fault of the course. Greens were quick but rolled nicely. Fairways and tee boxes above average.
Playing this Course again today
Best all-around course, nice fairways, nice greens, some tee box need some work,
Excellent course for the money
Course was in excellent shape. All of the greens were consistent. Looking forward to playing again.
