Don’t waste your time coming here unless your 45 and older than go ahead and do what you want. Duran is a way better course anyways. Will never come here again after dealing with Mr. Melloh and all of the unprofessional staff they have. Again go to Duran this place isn’t worth it.

great pace of play. interesting layout good conditions

I haven’t golfed here since the late ‘90’s. I invited a friend on vacation in Cocoa Beach and we were able to book a very good rate on Golf Now. The course is in good shape and still the challenge I remembered. The greens were firm and putts rolled true. Even with the recent rain, the course absorbed the water as well or better than similar Florida courses. The staff is friendly and helpful. The clubhouse and practice areas were nice as well. I recommend this course.

Very hard to explain our experience on a review because I would basically have to write a book it was that ridiculous and shocking. Easy way to put it people felt like we where being to slow when in fact we where playing within the normal timeframe that is expected (4 hours for 18 holes) and was totally going about out business and enjoying GOLF and we basically got ran off the golf course because the people behind us felt like we where going to slow. I have played over 1000 rounds and I’m 28 years old, I was on the Merritt Island golf team as a Captain I know how to play golf and I know pace of play yall snow birds need to go home and stop ruining it for everyone else. If I get 18 holes done in 4 hours I’m really confused how my “pace of play” wasn’t sufficient enough and it’s extremely frustrating and wrong. People play golf to enjoy themselves and be outside and enjoy and compete with other people. Golf is NOT a sport where you sit on the tee box on hole 3 and get mad that you have caught up with the people in front of you. Chill TF out! Everyone is on different skill sets so let people enjoy the game of golf and try and get better. Also if Viera East didn’t cram people in 8 minute time slots I bet they wouldn’t have people complaining about pace of play so I think this course is unrealistic and won’t spend another dime based off my experience and my family will be doing the same cuz my whole family golfs quite a bit locally and we will never go here ever again. Durans light years better anyway and cocoa beach is friendly and helpful. Totally unacceptable nasty behavior on Viera East part. Someone was in the pro shop when we where speaking with Chris the “golf professional” about what happened and getting our money back and he said and I quote “if y’all treated me like that y’all would have problems” and walked out and didn’t pay for his round and went to another course. Just goes to show.

If you are an inexperienced player I suggest you refrain from playing here. The staff at this course are sticklers about play and will force you to skip holes and suggest you not take a drop shot or mulligan because it slows down rate of play. If you compare that with their 8 minute tee time spread, not much room for error in snow-bird season. This course is mismanaged and doesn't care about the player/customer, only that they collect as many overbookings as possible. If you're interested in being talked down to, RUSHED, this course is the best!!! Worst part, they don't work with you in understanding, just their point of view only. Also, the people who live around the course WILL heckle you. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this nicely taken care of course.

Very fair course that is well maintained and very nice greens! I'll be back next time I am in town!

Price was fair but we had a Golf Now hot deal at $36.

The course was well kept, the fairways are forgiving as they are pretty wide, the greens were nice and rolled true, the pace of play was solid. The group in front of us was a little behind but the ranger stayed on top of them without us having to say a word but we did wait from time to time. I recently moved to the area and have played Duran and Baytree. I think it was better condition than both yet easier than both.

The money taker was a bit drab but the starter was a character so he made up for his dreariness. It seems the small restaurant may have just changed owners as they were giving away beers and food? (No, this did not influence my review) We had pimento cheese dip and some homemade chips and it was very good!

For a first time there, we were both impressed. With the overall experience. We both play Duran as it’s in our backyards but now are talking about switching back and forth to change things up. We will not be back to Baytree but for both of us to to say we will now play Viera East regularly actually means something to us. For the price, condition, atmosphere and overall experience, it’s a pretty decent track that should be played in the area.
