decent and enjoyable
many people overlook TC and opt for pricier courses around town, but all in all this is good bang for your buck. don't expect any wow factors as it is settled in between numerous housing developments and 'town.'
however, it does confound many a golfer due to the narrow fairways and ample waterways down both sides on several holes. driver is often not your friend, but that gives you an excuse to try out those hybrids off the tee to rescue your game! distance is not a must, 'straightness' is.

Great value for money. Well presented with friendly staff. A very good test without been excessively long. Most enjoyable
Quirky but fun
Turtle Creek is an outstanding value. The greens are very good, the fairways are okay and the holes provide plenty of variety and you will almost certainly use every club in your bag. Bring a ball retriever: you will be dealing with ponds or canals on just about every hole.
Pace of play good
We arrived early. Sent out before our original time. Pace good especially when we hit the back nine
Fertilizing/Seeding Greens
We have paid less to play this course, but, were okay with the price we paid; until we played the first hole and discovered that our balls were leaving 'rooster tails' of powdery green stuff when we putt. Every green was the same. We realize that a golf course needs to do this kind of over seeding and fertilizing for upkeep. However, usually a reduction in the price and some notification are the norm then. We were not informed in the clubhouse, nor offered any tiny boon to offset the less than pristine condition of the greens. Too bad. This course has water that comes into play on some 14 holes. To add to the challenge it has strategically placed traps (with new white sand in them, to my discovery). With the greens as they were, it added to the regular challenges of this course. The pace of play could have been better, as we waited on most every hole, with 2somes and 4somes intermingled ahead of us looking for balls. Perhaps a course ranger or assistant could move folks along a bit better, as we took 4 hours and 30 minutes today for a usual 4 hour course. And so it goes. Not horrible, but, could have been better.
Ladies Tee Block area needed cutting
The course was in relatively good shape with some winter damage to the greens. However, they did run fairly true and fast. The ladies tees needed a good cut, as I had grass almost as high as my 3.25 length tee! The fairways were fine, with well placed traps and plenty of water to negotiate on many holes. There was a crew working on the sand traps, spreading beautiful white sand in the bunkers...indicating good intentions and continued upgrades. Overall, a positive experience and looking forward to the course in a month or so when all the winter work is caught up.
Slow
Fairways a little rough, greens were ok but pace of play was slow. 5 hr round
Turtle Creek, Hidden Gem
Great local course , if in the area, give it a try.
Underrated
This course is highly underrated in my opinion. There are numerous courses around the area which are much wider and easier. They are also more expensive. I like this course, because you actually have to hit golf shots. You are penalized for missing the fairway or green because it's not wide open. It is a tight golf course but you can still score. The course seems to have recovered after the hurricanes. This course is certainly worth a hot deal. There are not a lot of amenities, but the staff is super friendly and accommodating. This course is definitely a good alternative to the more expensive courses in the area if you want to test your golf game.
Disappointed
Fairways ok , but if you roll off by only a few feet you may not find your ball in the too tall 1st cut, or under the swath of cut grass piled up. Lost 3 balls that way, but found 1 of these after a long & frustrating search! Many 'tee-boxes' were a pasture land- terrible eye-sore. Bunkers unraked for a long time.cart paths a mess of many pot-holes. Course signage broken & poor.
Greens tho' were nice as was practise green. This place generally seems going downhill thro lack of care.
Spend a little more and be happier
The course is run down. Greens are awful - burned, baked and patchy - and the tee boxes are unevenly mowed. Pace of play was abysmal due to no ranger patrolling the course. My twosome was stuck behind a foursome of Asian tourists that had very little business being on a busy golf course - stopping to hunt for balls in ponds, hitting multiple balls, etc. Won't be back. For $10 more you can play Viera East, a beautiful course with GPS carts
greens and tees need HELP
With a little money and time spent on greens and tee boxes, the course would be much better. Course was packed and pace of play was very slow. Kind of to be expected ion a Sunday morning.
