10 & 19 at University Park Country Club

My favorite course in the area. #5 on university is an awesome signature hole. Staff is super friendly and helpful. 5th time I've played and it's consistent all around.

Great course from tee to green. Great layout. Landscaping was impressive. I’m an experienced low handicaper. Highly recommend.

I hadn’t played this for 10 years, happy to be back!

Lots and lots of vegetation. Big trees, smaller trees, shrubs, bushes, you name it. Plenty of shade for a hot summer day.

Course was engaging with lots of different shots and holes. Plenty of water. There are 27 holes. We played 19-27 and 1-9. 19-27 greens seemed slower than 1-9 but both were fairly slow, but smooth. Rough was playable. Some fairways on 19-27 had been “thatched” (I think that’s the right word) leaving some parallel cuts in the grass on a few holes. Wasn’t a problem, as the fairways were good.

I get to play this at least twice a year and love it. It never fails to impress since the staff is very professional, the maintenance is wonderful and the course plays true. One of my favorites anywhere.

University Park is an excellent course. Every time I play there I have a great experience. From the course layout and the staff, it’s a very enjoyable experience.

Great course. Excellent shape from tee to green. Generous but creative layout. Outstanding landscaping makes the day all the more special. Worth every penny which was also a great deal. Awesome clubhouse and staff. Need I say more!!!

Enjoyed playing this course, was challenging but very fair. Very beautiful design.

Great course conditions and layout. However, ranger kept pressing us to keep pace even though group ahead was causing the backup. We were paired with 2 golfers who hit 250-275 drives so it caused tension.

Coming from southern Illinois, this place was top notch. Couldn’t have been happier.

As a reader of reviews, you probably first want to know about the condition of the course. This place is in first rate condition and gets 5 stars., as do the amenities including an incredible newly-opened bar and restaurant space. Then you want to know about the value. The best value is a Hot Deal because you’ll feel like you paid too much with what also matters, i.e. the pace play, which was horrid. Can’t say that the Ranger was non-existent because he passed through twice but made no effort to speed up the slow play ahead. Our group waited on every tee and every fairway all day long. Almost entitled this review “Great Place With the Wrong Staff” but that would have been unfair to some dedicated person. Though it may not matter to you, my experience from Bag Drop to Pro Shop to Starter made me feel unwelcome because I wasn’t conforming to some mysterious protocol and making myself an inconvenience to the very people put in place to serve.

Bravo,Bravo,Bravo.. I will like to congratulate the management and staff of this golf course. Let me said again, Bravo!! Best place to play, course conditions are immaculate and closely to PGA competition,including the practice area.Best Golf course in the area!!!

Never disappointed when we play this course. Great condition considering the time of year.
