Best Course/Worst Staff Ever

Went to Florida for a wedding and booked this course as a guest to play with a friend. We show up and the cart guys were very friendly, talkative, and welcoming--which put us at ease as guests. We load up and go to the pro shop. The pro shop guys were rude, dismissive, and acted like they didn't want us there at all. It was odd--for such a nice place--the pro shop/starter staff were incredibly rude and stuffy even when there was no one else on the course. We were so excited to play and were nothing but nice to everyone we saw, but it seemed like they hated guests and treated us like we were some punks there to destroy/disrespect the course.

For context, I am a 9 HC and my buddy is a 1. We finished in a little over 3 hours at a very difficult course. When we finished, the cart guy came out and asked how the round went, cleaned our clubs, and was very friendly. We tipped him well and left.

Worst experience at a course in a long time after paying $100+. I won't be going back and don't recommend that you go either--despite being a beautiful track.

Been here a few times and have always had a good experience. Staff is good. They were having trouble getting people to their tee times due to a broken PA but the staff tried hard. Course is in great shape and I really enjoy the layout. Good shots are rewarded and bad ones not.

Worth it

I've played here 4 times now. I'm not wealthy, however I will pay for quality. If I had a choice to play here once and another course of lesser quality twice I would play here once. They are usually busy, with that said pace of play is good (and I like to play quick). The course is always in excellent condition better than any I've played in the area. I'm a 14 handicap and this time played 2nd from longest tees and shot just barely above my average, so it's also playable. This is the second time I've been paired with members and they have all been a pleasure to play a round with sharing local knowledge as if I were a friend. This isn't a country club struggling so they allow public access. They truly are very welcoming and hospitable. Play here. The only possible regret you may have is your own game if it's off that day.
