Desert Willow Golf Course

My second golf outing at this course. Great place to play around of golf! I recommend anyone wanting a challenging, yet enjoyable round book a tee time at Sierra Golf Club.

First time I've played this course and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities, staff, and the condition of the course. Great placed to work on the game. I will definitely return for more golf!

The name sounds like a creepy tree in the middle of a desert, but it’s not that! This place is really nice, well maintained and Green!

The Pro shop is very well stocked with the latest gear that you might need and not need. Some are great to have and others are just cool to have. Whatever the case may be, this place will

Have what you want.

The driving range is great! I wish it had distance markers. That’s not just for this place, that’s for all the ranges that I visit that don’t have them up.

The pace of play seems to be working very nicely.

I did wish the carts had GPS range on them, because I don’t carry a range finder.

Overall, this golf course is great for its value.

The staff was very friendly. The course was in pristine shape.

Seeing as this was my first time being out in some years, I really enjoyed the course and the layout. As a person who hasn't been out for some years, the course proved to be very challenging and the very windy conditions didn't help my situation. All in all I had a good time even with the gentleman I was.paired with. I would definitely come back to play this course again. Hopefully I'll have more playing time under my belt. I didn't get to use the amenities, so I gave them an average grade.

Greens are fast and firm. Hardest 60 par course I've ever played. Enjoyed the entire experience..

Head of the club who was marshaling the day I played was a dick. Kept rushing everyone even though there was still a lot of time and made some really off the wall comments talking to us like we had already committed transgressions against course rules. Note that ALL the other staff except this head honcho are very nice.

Brought the family here from out of town to play golf while in town on vacation because of the reviews for a relaxed golf environment welcoming of all ages and experience. Paid for 6 to golf with rentals, carts, and two tee times. The lady behind the counter was wonderfully nice and very helpful getting us all set up. The guy at the bar while getting a few course drinks was also very helpful and nice. But that's about where the welcoming and relaxed "enjoy yourself" feeling ended. When we went to pick up our carts and clubs and they were not prepared for us and seemed more annoyed that they had to get clubs for everyone which made us behind on time. Once we got on hole one we had to wait anyways for the person ahead of us, and they ensured us not worry and just have fun. As the first four in our party golfed, the carts began to line up behind us. In and effort to not slow anyone else up, the last two in our group offered to skip the round and move up. From there on out our three carts stayed together, we golfed 4 or 5 to a round and only played best ball. "Golf security" came up to us twice in less than 9 holes to yell at us and threatened to kick us off the course for having 6 in our party. Apparently the "nothing better to do" nosey golf neighbors felt an overwhelming need to call us in for driving three carts together. Not once did we golf 6 to our party ever, a full hole, or more than 6 out of the nine holes we paid for. Course was nothing to write home about and I'll take our Midwest nice golf people any day over the "retired with nothing better to do than complain folk out here about". Not a great experience to bring my family out for what claimed to be a family friendly golf experience. I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
