Desert Willow Golf Course

Very friendly staff. Really enjoy the course and would highly recommend

Desert Willow is a good short course, in pretty good shape, and has good amenities.The pace is quite slow, even on weekdays, so be prepared to be patient. The cart guy makes great Bloody Mary’s, and is super friendly. The major drawback is that they “close” the course and kick you out at 6:00pm, even if you have already teed off on the hole and there’s still plenty of daylight left to finish. It seems like a lot of effort to send a guy around to ruin everyone’s experience, when they could just wait 20 minutes. I only mention this because I play six or seven different courses in town, and have never seen this before.

I play here once or twice a week for the last 3 months since taking the game back up. The staff is usually great but.... I DID NOT APPRECIATE BEING INSULTED AND LIED TO BY CAREY TODAY so IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE CHARGED 26.00 FOR 7 HOLES OF GOLF GO TO ANGEL PARK INSTEAD AND PLAY 9 FOR 21.00

I started playing this course this summer and play two times a week. The staff is friendly, and since it is getting later in the season I try to get here after work to get in at least a few holes. Carrie is the employee working today who was just as rude as can be. If it wasn't for the fact I enjoy playing this course I would never come back after dealing with him. I don't appreciate being insulted and lied to by anybody

I love this place. I feel comfortable there. I just wish they could figure out a way to get the distances marked on the range. How about some lines painted on the grass? Existing flags are wrong. Why are the flags now 10 feet tall? Why is it so difficult to make it clear how far you are hitting each club?

Staff was rude and members didn’t like the fact that we were non residents playing “their course.” No worries, won’t be back!

Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Pace was great!

I recently played here as well as the other executive courses in Las Vegas and Desert Willow is in the best condition by far. REAL greens. Come play!

The greens were in excellent condition but the T Boxes were soggy and the fairways mixed. This course has a great layout. I think with seeding it needs to catch up to itself.

having worked in the golf industry there are several things that really get under my skin and customer service is number one on my list. I knew going into the round that this course was coming off of overseeding and was prepared for the little inconveniences that come with it such as cart path only, extremely soft fairways, etc. What i wasnt prepared for was the fact that this course was actually not in condition to be played on yet. There were numerous tee boxes that were closed and the tee markers were placed in areas that weren't tee boxes. They were set up in areas of rough between normal boxes and the grass wasn't even cut down, but rather just trampled down. Of the regular tee boxes that were open, many were set up in the only bare spots on the box and you were teeing off of uneven and holey sand patches. The course superintendent clearly had the full compliment of workers working as i saw a mower or other piece of course equipment on virtually every hole. They also have not been trained to not interfere with a golfer or to at least stop while a golfer is taking a swing. There was also an issue with the sprinklers and this one really rubbed me the wrong way. On several holes my playing partner and I were basically forced off the hole or forced to wait on the cart path as the sprinklers were being turned on. We got hit by them at least twice and they were running all around the course while we were playing and as I said forcing us off the greens and tee boxes on numerous occasions. Didnt stop at the workers, the gentlemen they had working as marshals also need to use some etiquette when driving around the course. One in particular would not stop while a player was playing a shot, wouldn't smile and generallly didn't seem to care, which made me wonder exactly why he was there other than some free golf. So what am I getting at with all of this? Living in Vegas, we golfers understand the season of reseeding and what it entails. But if your course isn't ready for players without interrupting or bothering them during their round then take a few more days and keep it closed till it is. I've played this course many times but after this round I will think very hard about playing it again based on all of the above.

This is my first time playing this course ever the layout is good the course is in excellent condition the greens are absolutely beautiful. The problem here is the players I played as a single today I’m a nine handicap I got paired with three older gentleman which I am also 60 but these guys could not hit a shot 100 yards I waited so long in between shots it was ridiculous the course was packed and the pace was absolutely slow.

I’ve been playing here for several years visiting family and friends., I’ve enjoyed every round.,Great staff. Surprisingly challenging course.,
