Good value
We played yesterday hot deal for $20 which had me worried that this course would be a dump, I was pleasantly suprised it was decent, course was fun staff was great pace of place was great. Conditions were just ok but for $20 can't go wrong!

Good times at the HISTORIC Horse!
I love Wildhorse, it’s one of the closest courses to my house, it’s where I cut my teeth when I started playing golf. I have seen it in many different conditions and it is amazing to see what the grounds crew has done over the last couple of years. The director of agronomy just won superintendent of the year for southern Nevada, a huge congrats to what he has accomplished. They have done a lot of work and it looks more and more alive each time I visit. The practice facility is great, grass range, a nice chipping green and a very large putting green. The layout of the course is great, #9 is considered one of the hardest holes in Vegas and has been rated so in the past, it’s an incredibly fun approach shot. If you are playing a match with someone the finish is great, #’s 16 & 17 are back to back par 5’s that are reachable with a good drive, birdie or even eagle is definitely in play. #18 is a great finishing par 4 that tempts you to hit a right to left shot to land on a skinny landing area just in front of the green, although there is plenty of room out right if that is your miss. I have had many matches come down to 18 where I was defeated but I have also prevailed there. The course typically plays pretty firm, so I recommend playing a touch short and calculating for roll out on tee shots. Wildhorse has a great vibe, the staff is always friendly and the price to play can’t be beat. Wildhorse at 530am is one of my favorite places to be watching the sunrise over the mountains, it’s like a painting. There is a Golf Digest article about Wildhorse, look it up, a ton of history out there. The tour use to play a tournament at the horse back in the day and even Jack Nicklaus as hoisted a trophy on the historic grounds. I suggest reading that write up and getting out to play, it’s an awesome place to hang with buddies or get down on an intense match.

Course was okay!
Fairways in better condition than greens. Greens need work! Pretty bump and numerous areas different from other part of green relative to grasses! Great variety of holes but a bit expensive for what you get in return.

Horrible Course
This course is very dry, fairways did have some green spots sometimes, there are weeds everywhere. The greens were spotty, hard, and very fast.

The course was very dry
The course was very dry. By that I mean it appears that the course has not had any water for months. Making the fairways very hard and the greens extremely fast. This could be due to the pandemic.
Play was very slow, but I was somehow able to shoot a +12 ( 82 ).

Conditions could be better
I've played here a lot over the past few years and course conditions, particularly the greens, have really declined. The cups are not moved often enough and all the holes have that "volcano" effect. Add in greens in terrible shape and putting is difficult at best. The course itself is okay, but a little rough in spots.
The day I played the wind was howling but I did manage to finish with a pretty decent 78, not bad when all things are considered.

Good overall course
I enjoyed the day from checking in to the driving range, putting Green and pitching area. The course was later out well and the distance measuring cart computer made everything a really good round
