Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

The course has looked better in the past and now it is overgrown with weeds. The pace was extremely slow for a Friday. There were people giving lessons to kids on the course and kids with no clubs with sometimes five to six on the putting greens. Called clubhouse 2x to inform what was going on and no one came out.

We enjoy playing this track but did get stuck behind a group outing which obviously backed things up.

Played in the afternoon, so as previous reviews, the slower it gets.

Course is short but is really good condition, tee to green. Greens really rolled nice for us on this day.

Also, the cart we had had was fine, with no rips and worked fine as I did notice previous reviews noting rips, etc.

Get some better Marshalls

Man I swore I would never come back to this place, but wanted to give it a try again. First off I knew we would have two riders with our group of four. I called ahead Monday before the tee time and was told it would be no problem. Show up Saturday and now it’s “oh we don’t have an extra cart, two of you will have to walk.” Not a big deal we did. Then we get to the third hole it’s a par 5 the sign says “when they are over the bank you are clear”. Meanwhile we played the white tees it was only 250ish to clear so we wanted to wait. The Marshall has the nerve to ride up on us get out of his cart walk on the tee box and tell us to hit, told him it’s 250, he said I was 112 pounds soaking wet no way I clear. So I stepped up and smacked it right next to the group over the ridge, my buddy then proceeded to clear the group on the ridge. Marshall didn’t apologize, he then decided to insult the three women with us joking like we were going to be slowed down and be a distraction. This place has zero class their Marshall’s are old and think they know everything with zero respect for the game and safety of the players on the course. The first time I played this course last year the Marshall came up to me 150 out with a foursome on the green and told me to hit.

Just go find another place to play. The Marshalls take any fun you’re having. Pay and extra 15-20 bucks and go elsewhere to enjoy your round.

Unfortunately our round today was ruined buy the 3 groups in front of us all joining up and playing a 9 ball and not letting us play through. I’ve played this course multiple times on my visits to from England and always play it twice per visit as it’s so local to strip, we played on Monday 1st April and we got around in 2 1/2 hours but yesterday was unfortunately just awful, staff and course were as usual great

My friends and I payed a total of $300 to play this course and there was no range balls.. If you wanted some you literally had to climb up on a trash can to scoop them out but you couldn’t do that because the bin was empty. Only one bathroom on the back 9. No golfball washes . We finished by 6:30 and the place was completely locked up. Obviously the staff had no concerns about who was still on the course. Manager should be fired for allowing this to happen. I’ll never play this course again
