About
Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Golfer Reviews
Desert pines
Nice coarse a little tight and some dangerous side by side fairways tee boxes and greens. Would play again
Enjoyed the couse/Staff accommodating
Very accommodating staff who seemed to enjoy being there and helping. I'm not used to desert golf so go into it knowing their are gonna be really dry areas throughout and fun to play. Ended up playing there 2 days in a row while in town and would recommend if ur looking to get out to play.
Great Vslue
The course is a target course and approach shots were key. I’d definitely play it again.
Surprisingly a great course
We were not expecting such a good course. The service was good especially in the restaurant/half way house. It’s a nice course with fairways separated by berms and trees. Several holes are a bit noisy due to proximity to freeway but not a big bother. It’s a nice challenging layout. We’d definitely play again which is what the guy we play with did again the next day. Great value on a hot deal.
Las. Vegas Hospitality
2nd time playing Desert Pines. Was in Vegas celebrating a cousin’s 60th birthday. Booked a prepaid tee time early morning for 2-4 somes. Some of the group members had a little too much Vegas the night before, so could not make it. Greg at the pro shop was awesome in his assistance to help get a refund on the players who couldn’t make it. There was a slight frost delay about 45 min but pace of play was pretty good. Greens were a little slow and pin positions were very tricky. We also had breakfast in the club house, great food and service on and off the course. Thank you Greg and team for making our golf venture amazing.
Spectacular value and quality
Extremely narrow fairways but course is short and greens receive the ball extremely well so good course to score well on.
Very nice course
Very friendly and helpful staff. The course is in great condition. Great pace of play.
Nice lay out , SLOW PLAY
Love this course, short but challenging. Like many courses in the valley the pace of play is not managed so you just sit on the tee box, wait and wait and wait, get cold and then shank one :-(
Dye.
The lack of land the 1st few holes was a big turnoff. 2 of our 4 some hit it just a little crooked and always seemed to land on ultra firm ground. It's not one Pete can B proud of but the shortage of land due to a huge structure for the driving range didn't give him many options. In any event overrated.
Good track
Caught this course on a windy day which made it a little bit more difficult and made the layout seem slightly tight. Greens are in amazing shape! Fairways and the rest of the course is good for January. Fun layout and friendly staff.
Always a good value
I visit LV every couple of years and have played this course several times. It always seems to be in pretty good shape and it a good value. Not too hard but still interesting round of golf.
Great tune up course
The perfect place to try a new rangefinder… easily the poorest marked course in Las Vegas. Great people & a nice course make up for the lack. The perfect spot to work on placement and course management.
