About
Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course - except for the greens!
Obviously something went terribly wrong when they reseeded the greens! It's growing back but still terribly patchy and insanely bumpy. Give some it time (not sure how much) and it will be back to normal. The rest of the course is fine. I'll be back once the greens return to normal.
Putting on the moon.
The greens were hands down the worst green I've ever seen. There was a foursome in front of us amd a single behind them the whole round. The ranger asked as about the pace of play on the 15th hole and he himself didn't even know what hole we were on
Worst greens in Vegas, no in Nevada
No worst greens on the west coast. Terrible conditions. Greenskeeper should be fired now. Golfnow should refund my
Money.
Desert Pines
Desert Pines cancelled our tee time on 9/24/21. Reason: Over seeding, credit my account for the cost.
Rough
Course was in terrible condition. Very very rough. Look elsewhere!
Closing for the Summer
Got off late due to the 'Pros' playing in front of us for BUG money or something. TEMPORARY Greens ON ALL 18 HOLES. I was NOT INFORMED at Starter window OR BY GOLF NOW before making the te time. I did got a cooler w/ ice and a water...Cart also BROKE down on the 1st hole.
Awful
When I booked at this course it was bc it looked nice and a bit challenging with narrow fairways and water. What was not mentioned is that the course greens are under construction so you don’t have actual greens to putt on. They had make shift greens cut out in the fairway about 30/60 yards from the actual greens themselves. Absolutely the worst course I have ever played. They should have paid me to play this course. I deserve a refund for being mislead.
John”s review
The course is in good shape the greens were gone they made temporary greens which wasn’t good
Hopefully the greens come back sooner than later
Greens Under Repair
Obviously the greens are undergoing repairs or whatever but that was expected given the reduced price. Besides the makeshift greens the other aspects of the course were in good shape and the shorter course changed my playstyle up a bit to make a new experience out of a course I've played a few times this year.
Not a happy camper
Was sold a prepaid foursome on golf/now. Should have not been on golf now at all. 18 temporary greens as fungus had eaten away greens here. Course was playable to 18 temporary greens. As I had played here in the past this is a good track when it is all together. I fault the folks at golf/now for selling it. A full refund or credit would be appreciated.
Although I do like this course. They had some fungus growing on the greens so wasn’t really a full round. Hope they get it fixed quick and we can have a real round!
Damaged Greens
Course is unplayable and should be stated before anyone else books a tee time. Course should close until maintenance up to par.
Wait a couple years
Wait a couple yearsGreens there were no greens they were I would call dirts, don’t play this course for at least a year till they get their act together
Greens are destroyed
The staff is really nice and warned us the greens at e a mess. Golfnow didn’t tell us this. There should be a partial refund basically they were painted dirt
Great layout and staff. The greens sucked.
This would be a very fun course to play if the greens were in good shape. All of the greens had a fungus. Putting was impossible and anything around the greens wasn’t as fun as it should have been. When the greens come back this will be fun course.
