Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Awful greens

The greens were terrible. Simply irresponsible to charge full green fees with dead greens. Shame on you.

Round at Desert pines

This is my go to course when I play by myself or am trying a new swing element..it is usually wide open, has many challenging holes with water....not very hard or long but not a slouch either...the longest par 3 is 180 and par 4s are around 380s ...tests all aspecrs of your game.. Las Vegas .strip views are ok..

Great value for money.

Like the design, the greens were very slow. Pace was really slow.

Bring range finder

Good golf course but lacking distance markers. They are randomly hidden or completely missing throughout the course. This can be easily fixed with 100 150 and 200 markers even just single 150 yards pole would be fantastic.

Live lucky Golf

Live Lucky Golf

My wife and I played Desert Pines as part of our 30th anniversary Celebration. The staff at Desert Pines was more than accommodating. From the front desk the fully stocked pro shop, the starter and the bar restaurant.

The course was in great shape maybe it was me I don’t expect a whole lot. But we were treated like kings ha ha.

We needed club rentals and were furnished with a set of Callaway‘s with two sleeves of balls. Not sure if the putters were loaded but they seemed to help our game immensely, thinking I’m going to buy new Callaway putters.

Our cart had a cooler with ice with a couple of waters and we had plenty of drinks for our round.

The course layout was pretty cool every hole had a giant rock marking the number hole and a name for the hole.

After our round we were greeted by Our waitress /Bartender,Jamie.the drinks were cold The food, service were great.

We would suggest Desert Pines for a great Game of golf and relaxation.

Short and Narrow

From the whites tees Desert Pines is shorter than most of the LV golf courses, but the Pete Dye railroad tie design has undulating, narrow fairways that create different challenges. The greens have plenty of tilt (often from front to back) and the pins can be difficult to attack.

Specifically, the day I played the par 4 17th had a temporary green mowed into the fairway, making it a par 3. Evidentally, the green must have been under repair. The starter never mentioned this, nor was there a notice in the clubhouse or cart. Disappointing.
