Desperado/Outlaw at Badlands Golf Club

Played Diablo and Desperado. 4 or 5 blind shots over 18 holes. Several 3 part fairways. Tee / Fairway / Green. Greens a little beat up but rolled really true. Tough greens. Hit the putting green before heading out. A great time and I will return when in Vegas.

The condition of the course was horrible! Fairways had no grass, dead grass, divots that were never repaired, greens were like rough land on the Texas North 40. This is the time for most courses in Las Vegas to go through some transition from winter to summer. However, the course should discount the greens fees when it is cow pasture. Outside staff was somewhat friendly but inside the pro shop staff could care less than address the issues. I even call in advise to ask conditions and staff advise is was in great shape, i wouldn't recommended this course to anyone!

Badlands had a fair set up, played from the blues in the mid 6000 yd range. The last 3 of the last four holes not including 17, were very difficult. if you are above a 19 handicap, play up to the white tees

Would love to know the course layout. Played great shots but got penalized for not knowing the layout.

A poor conditioned course with a uncaring staff. Stay away, they are too many other choices in Vegas, than this one

This course is definitely for the more experienced and consistent golfer. I wouldn't recommend this course to any beginners trying to improve their game unless you hit the ball straight consistently or like investing in ball purchases.

I loved the course, just not there yet skill wise. Once I am, I will definitely be going back more often.

This course is an awesome layout! However, it is evident that maintenance is not a priority here. Rumor has it that the course will be toast in two years for more housing. As such, they don't seem to care much, which is a shame as its a beauty layout!

Rabbits have over run the place and are destroying the course.

The end of a once great course. Management really ruined a once great, challenging course. Conditions are poor, staff not very cooperative, close this course and avoid future embarrassement.

Target golf. Pretty tight fairways and a lot of layup holes

The course is very challenging but fun. Fairways were a bit thin. The greens were quite fast so, expect big breaks. I have played here before so I knew it was difficult but the course treats you very well . (I am a 3 handicap ).

Course was very dry and what grass there is was mostly brown.

From the blue tees it is a difficult challenge unless you know the course and are very straight off the tee.

Have played this course in the past. Extremely disappointed this time. Course has really gone downhill. Fairways in poor condition, bad lies throughout the course, staff lacks concern for the public. The course should be closed ASAP.

I cannot in good conscious recommend this course (there are three 9s) to anyone.

For the record I live in the south and play on courses where there is Bermuda that goes dormant in the winter and they chose not to overseed in the winter.

I have played Badlands several times in the past as have my playing partner. We will likely NEVER return.

We in this case played the Outlaw and Diablo 9s. The fairways are pockmarked with many significant spaces of no grass at all. The ground doesn't appear to have been groomed in a long time. The greens are pockmarked, a bit furry, with dead spots of unrepaired ball marks and no evidence of mowing or rolling on a Saturday. A side show is the number of rabbits on the course - easily in the hundreds and they love to sit on the tee boxes as you hit your drives (but this side show also has its downside based on the burrows and other evidence of rabbit damage with some damage resembling the damage of wild hogs in places#.

The problem when a company doesn't maintain a course is that no one who plays it feels obligated to do their part by raking bunkers, repairing ball marks or replacing divots #in the case where you actually get one because of course conditions). Evidence of this was everywhere with sun flower seed shells littering numerous greens, bumping and grind your way across the greens in spots, or just the number of footprints and spike marks on the greens, and unraked.

It's a real shame as we all had played Badlands in the past and looked forward to our round yesterday. I have played $20 munis in far better shape than this and will likely never return. I certainly will not stake my reputation by recommending this to any of my friends or co-workers who come to Vegas.

The positive is that the staff was extraordinarily friendly/helpful, the golf shop is great, and the food was of high quality.

Course was in need of H2O. Ladies markers were hard to find. Bear fairways and over plugged greens.

The average golfer, 20 to 30 handicap, should bring at least a dozen golf balls. This course is all target golf, small fairways, deep ravines, and many sand traps to go along with lots and lots of desert. My entire group said they would never play here again.

I played the Badlands Feb. 12th. The greens were in good shape and rolled true. The fairways had not been oversewed and so the fairways were not in good conditions. Play it later in the spring when the Bermuda fairway grass is not dormant.

The front side I played( Diablo ) was fun and fair. The back nine was awful (desparato ). This nine was blind shot after blind shot. The seventh hole on that side was one of the worst holes I've ever played. Totally blind tee shot downhill to a tiny landing area. Of which I hit dead center of the fairway. And yet I had another downhill blind approach shot to a postage stamp of a green. No yardage, no seeing the green or flag stick. Too many holes like this on this course. Could've been a great play till that awful nine.

This track used to be beautiful. They have really let it go. I know there is new management and don't think they are putting any money into the course. Tee boxes are burnt and dead fairways all over. The pace of play was horrendous. +5 hour round of golf with no ranger in sight. Will not be back unless things change

Played this course and few years ago - Greens were patchy and didn't run pure but layout and rest of course were great so we decided to give another try this time around, assuming (hoping) greens would surely be improved. Entire course was in terrible shape. This is not an overly dramatic review in response to a bad round - do not waste your money to play here. Every inch of the course was dead, terrible eyesore and the Rabbit turds - cover EVERY INCH of the course. Literally moving turds to hit putts. Course is a awful.
