Decent course; wide open
This is a good course for my level of talent. I just started playing 3 months ago. I like this course because it’s cheap, wide open, and lots of grass. The greens are pretty rough though. There’s not much water at this course, so I didn’t lose any balls today. That’s a plus! I shot my lowest ever score there today, so I’m psyched. I would recommend to anyone. If you’re a “scratch” golfer, this course might be boring for you. In closing, I would say the pace was a huge problem, but overall I’m happy with it.
Ok for some fun golf if you have time.
VERY slow course. I was really disappointed in the amount of garbage around. The pond on #3 was full of garbage. It took 10+ minutes to get a hotdog at the turn.
First time and last time playing this course
I played 13 holes in almost four hours. Cart path only, st this point. I finally hit me level of annoyance, and left. While waiting for my Lyft (I’m from out of town), I got a drink that was incredibly overpriced for such an unastheticly pleasing place. Bar staff was friendly, but the pro shop staff were rude, and distant.
In terms of the course, it was quite easy except for a few holes with moderately rocky traps in front of them. Grass was in relatively nice shape, but anything off the fairway was poor. Also, the amount of trash on the sides of the fairways was gross.
My ball rolled on the greens like it was going down moguls on a ski slope. Terrible - jumping everywhere. However, they had just reseeded, so that’s not that unexpected.
I’m sure the overall playing conditions were fine, but between the astronomically slow speed of pace and off-putting staff, I was upset and will never play again, nor will I ever, in good conscience, recommend.
L.V.G.C.:. No fluffy white sand-filled bankers here!
Course was in fair shape but had lots of trash all over the course. I think the starter forgot to call us off (no biggie). The course is laid out fairly well but there doesn't appear to be any markers anywhere telling you where the next hole is or even what hole you are on when you are teeing off. That was frustrating to my golfing buddy who doesn't play much. Any standing water was dark, murky & loaded full of garbage. Don't drive your golf cart to your car in the parking lot or, heaven forbid, on a fairway!
:-D
Awful
Mat be the worst condoned greens I have ever played!
pro shop staff rude
course overall fair condition , greens in great condition. play time was average.
Dirt Track
107 temp. Ready for overseeding. Understandable this time of year. May be nice in the spring. City course surrounded by traffic. Really flat. Good place to take the wife for tune up round. Friendly staff.
Flat, straight
So, it’s a municipal course, fair enough. People don’t like to take care of things evidenced by greens being in bad shape with pitch marks and butts all around.
This course was brown, except for greens. Well dried out after hot summer.
Pace of play— 5.25hrs on a Monday.
Staff was nice and maybe decent value. But the course wasn’t very pretty of too challenging overall.. except for 2-3 holes maybe.
Great value and not too challenging
Fantastic value for 18 holes including a buggy Course is not particularly long nor challenging and fairly flat ideal if you like to see where your ball lands and find it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Course overall is great but the bunkers are very hard.
not as easy as it looks
The course is deceptively challenging. From the angled approaches to the fairways from the tee boxes, to the steady up hill grades to the greens and the subtle hidden breaks on the greens. It keeps you working the whole time.
a good play
I play this course a few times a month. It's a good value for the dollar. It can be a slow play due to the price and the fact that it is one of the few courses that a player can walk rather than ride. Many of the players do choose to walk. The course is always in good condition, especially with the amount of play it gets. If you are looking for a casual round that still makes you work at it, give this course a try.
Value For The Money
Enjoyed the round. Got to meet some nice locals.
Sand traps are as hard as a rock ( should have tried chipping out rather than your normal sand shot ). Two holes ( think it was 8 & 9 ) were odd. One was a par 4 but the overall distance was longer than the ninth hole, par 5, which was shorter in distance.
old and dirty
Course is old and needs updating, but nice to play. Over priced for the condition. The lakes had garbage in them. Bathrooms needs major work. Baseboards falling off and water damage on the vanities, doors missing on vanites also. Staff was friendly.
Visitors pay a lot for this course unless you use golfnow or tell them you are a resident of Clark County.
