Pretty nice golf course
For this low green fee you get a pretty good golf course. Not very well maintained and a not very good hcp-players on course. But nice greens, different to the other golf courses and in the old part of Las Vegas.
Vastly improved
I remember playing here about 12 years ago. This course back then wasn't that good at all. Now, it's improved in all areas. I appreciated all those mature trees throughout the course to provide excellent shades. Course layout is easy and flat; perfect for testing your new clubs or balls without losing too many balls. Guys at the pro shop are very nice and helpful. Burgers and fries offered at the turn were some of the best. I'll definitely come back for more rounds of pleasurable golf here.
Las Vegas Golf and Country Club
The course as in very good condition on both fairways and greens. Sand traps were not turned and are extremely firm. Not the longest course but is a great course for higher handicappers. Pace of play was a shade over four hours for the 18 hole round. I will play it again.
Great little course
Close to town, good facilities and a great place for learners.
Played this course twice with an all included package and enjoyed every minute.
great value for the price
played with 3 locals and had a blast. greens had been plugged and sanded 4 weeks prior, but were quite smooth and quick. tees and fairways in great shape and it's quite open, so fun and fairly easy. I only lost one ball (over a row of houses)!
Traditional track with greens punched
Unfortunately, we were 2 weeks from when greens punched...Greens were bumpy and sanded, although after 2 weeks could have been better. Great course if you like forgiving tee shots. Enjoyed the course but would have MORE if greens were in good shape..
Course hole numbers
Course doesn't have hole numbers so can be confusing
Las Vegas Golf Club
Well architected course. Great greens. Staff could be friendlier, but the course is a good value.
Good value depending on season!!
My buddies and I played here mid-March and the course was in great shape! We had heard that the course can be very dry and not fun to play, but this is only the case once the winter grass has been used for over-seed. The course was lush and green and the greens were excellent - probably running about 9.5-10.5 on the stimp.
The course is very straightforward and one of the nice things about playing a new course is seeing where you are going - this is the case at LVGC as every shot is right in front of you.
We paid 99$ on the golfnow app and that included 18 holes, a cart, rental clubs, and two sleeves of balls (but I travel with ProV's so we gave them away).
Overall, we were very pleased with the value. The course will definitely not blow you away and there are no real memorable holes but it was fun, fair and perfect for a round with rentals! Since we were in Vegas, we obviously played a money game (skins game actually), drank some beer and had a blast. If you're just looking for a fun afternoon on a course thats in good shape and fairly cheap, this is the place. We are all 0-6 handicaps and it was just right. Great atmosphere in the clubhouse and nice driving range!
The worst part of the course is lack of signage - a few times we had to guess where the next hole was but we figured it out - an inexperienced golfer may get lost.
Dont waste your money
This course is for locals and for hackers. The problem
is that they dont have a ranger. Speed of play was miserable. They put everyone out in foursomes and stack the course back to back no room to move on or play through. The Greens were a little difficult other
that it was an open layout
Flat & Smooth
Played this course on Friday with a 0908 tee time. Did not get on the tee box until 0925 due to an impromptu tournament that they set up for their regular players. My point is this - if you sell tee times to Golfnow you must honor them!!! There were at least 15 golfers who were twitling their thumbs as their tee time had passed them with no regard for their time! Please do not do this again! P.S. The course was in good shape and was a great little run that was pretty easy.
Nice forgiving course at a good price
There is nothing outstanding about this course but both the fairways and the greens were in very good condition. A fairly open layout with tee box locations providing a variety of challenges for golfers of varied abilities. We had an enjoyable round of golf at a very reasonable price.
Just play
I really enjoyed the day. Simple down home feel, like your home course for me.pace was good, course in decent shape, helpful staff. Surprisingly tough greens, great day overall. Easy course for golf weekend in Vegas! Off to play another local course.Enjoy
A Classic
I have played this course many, many times since moving to Las Vegas in 1996. I am never disappointed in the layout, the conditions, and the staff. I truly LOVE this place and the only negative I can think of is pace of play. Very playable for all skill levels and a golfer can feel good about shooting a good score here. I love Las Vegas Golf Club.
Good condition
Course is in good condition, but play is very slow....lot's on beginners
Flate
I'll play this course again. Not a big challenge, but a good course to sharpen your skills. Fairways gives you a good roll and the greens read true. On the course restrooms needs a lot of work
Great staff new director of golf and restaurant manager
Alana was so friendly that we almost didn't leave. After the round we sat in the bar for three hours and chatted over the round and other things to do for the week. She is one of the nicest waiters/bar tenders we have ever had. The weather was a bit s day but the course played very good. The greens wher in great shape and the pins where very fair.
