Las Vegas Golf Club

Pros:

Fun old course that you can tell has some history.

Course was mostly green.

Tee boxes are fine.

Very little out big bounds.

Cons:

5 hour round. Had to wait on every.. single.. hole.

Many dry spots around the course.

Greens need work. VERY bumpy. Our group was making jokes about the greens the whole round.

Overall, the value is okay for locals. Def not a $75 or more course. Not at all.

Decent track, not super challenging, great for practice or for a social round.

This is a municipal course and we would normally expect slower play, less than pristine conditions and cart workers seldom seen. The refreshments were frequent ($4.00 for a Gatorade) and conditions were fair. We were put with two locals who paid $35.00 each to the $120.00 each we paid as non-residents. This is not a $120 per round course (the receipt said we paid $260.00 for 2 people). This will not be on our list to play next year.

Great September Sunday afternoon round. Weather and course were beautiful.

The fairways are really wide, the greens in great shape. I would rather paly later in the day where the fairways are not very wet, but the temps in the summer make that difficult.

Too many birds, polluting fairways and blocking greens

It's green out here, especially for a desert course. Very few spots (unless you're way off course) that aren't covered with grass, or shaded by trees. Easily 10 degrees cooler than the surrounding areas with the trees providing an escape from the sun.

The design definitely feels its age (30s, think?), but that doesn't detract from the vibe it project. All the holes are fit into a single block, so any slices will go into the neighboring fairway, and not the neighbors rear window. Staff are great! Carts are upkept. Restaurant and proshop are clean. And great prices.

I’ve lived in Vegas for over a decade, and use to play here frequently. They’ve flat out become to expensive for what they offer! 60/round for an old beat up municipal course that has had ZERO reinvested is absurd! The tee boxes are trashed and all humped! The fairways are just over grown weed and not real grass. The greens are all bumpy and beat up. You have to go to the bar and BUY ICE for your cooler! You want a real municipal that actually takes care of their course go to Club at Sunrise! The staff is nicer, the carts come with ice! What a JOKE this place has become!

I booked a tee time for 6:30 for 18 holes. I figured it was a little weird that I was able to do that but hey, it’s Vegas. We get there at 6pm and the entrance gates are locked and only one gate on the exit side is open. I go through the edit side and when we get to the clubhouse all the doors are locked and there is not an employee to be found. Finally we find somebody and he says to get in a cart and go play. We are from out of town and only one of us brought clubs so we needed to rent a set and he said too bad the clubhouse was closed. We finish up the 9th hole and the sun is just starting to set so I ask the employee I saw in the cart return area what time they start kicking people off the course and he says 10 minutes. I paid for 18 holes. I ask him why I was able to book a tee time at 6:30 for 18 holes and he tells me that it’s a set price and they can’t charge for just 9 holes. Beware of booking a late tee time here.

This place was packed solid with golfers over Memorial Day weekend. Nice course and they can only control just so much...

Took 5 hours to play. Had 3 groups of 5 in front of us. Won’t be going back. Too many other good options.

This has got to be the best deal in vegas. It's obviously not the greatest course in vegas, but I was shocked at how nice it was. Tee boxes fairways and greens were all perfect.
