Golfer Reviews
Hurry up and wait
When we arrived for our 1130 tee time, the attendant in the parking lot promptly brought us our 2 carts to load up. He advised us the driving range was complimentary. Pro shop said it was not complimentary. After purchasing drinks and food from the restaurant we hustled out to the starter only to find we were 4 groups back!!. I asked the starter if we were backed up due to frost and he replied no, some members had jumped out in front to play, causing the start times to be backed up. After about 30 minute delay we finally teed off with at least 4 more Groups now waiting behind us. We have all dealt with delays getting started but this lasted the ENTIRE round. We would arrive at every single tee and have to wait for not only the foursome in front of us but often the group in front of them. This round of golf was the most aggravating round I’ve played in a long time due to the constant waiting. All golfers were cordial and polite but talking with them while waiting they all agreed it ruined the rhythm that golf should be played at, especially at a club like Oasis, Palmer. I will never play Oasis again.
Great course and staff
I had a great time playing out here. The course was full up with foursome, and the pace of play was fantastic. The course is in fantastic shape with narrow fairways with shorter holes, but lots of elevation changes and dog legs keep it super interesting. Their rental clubs were also top notch.
Absolute Delight
Staf is very helpful. Some holes are pretty funky Pace of play was slow. I like the Canyons better
Beautiful day, beautiful course...but slow pace of play.
It's sad how one group or one person can wreck the day for everyone behind them. Waiting to hit each shot was hard. The only time we saw a marshall was at 4:45 on hole 15 to tell us we were done and we needed to get the cart back. (We teed off at 1:20 and the group of locals in front of us quit after 8 holes due to the slow play).
Other than that, the Oasis Palmer is a beautiful course and worth the effort to get to Mesquite.
Great course with challenging holes and great views
I've played this course 3 times now over the last few years and it is definitely worth the trip. Great views. Challenging layouts. Only issue is 2 of the 3 times I've been there we've had nasty course employee experiences. We teed off at 1240 and due to slow play and no marshals we were finishing up 17 at about 450. One of the employees came out and told us we weren't allowed to finish the last hole because carts had to be in the building by 5pm. Wasn't dark or close to it. Needless to say we teed off 18 and finished. He came out when we were putting and yelled at us. We still dropped the cart off by 5. Not a great look for them.
Rain out after 8 holes
We arrived early to see if we could start early with rain in the forecast. The person at the desk suggested that we switch to the Canyons course so we could get on right away. We didn’t get a refund for the deposit on the Palmer course, but paid a discounted rate for playing on the Canyons course. We only made it 8 holes when the rain was too heavy to continue. We’re heading back today
Perfect day for golf and love to play the course when we are close. Great time to get on the course, not particularly busy.
