A must do
Upon arriving I was immediately met with a cart in the parking lot. This is a really neat course. Layed out very well with blind shots on a couple of holes. The views are fantastic, so I found myself just looking out to the expansive desert and admiring the beauty. Most holes I found challenging, but fair. Most of the rough is very thick, so hit them straight. Lot of elevation change from the tee boxes.
Great first experience
The Oasis Palmer course tweaked my interest when it came up in my GolfNow app that prompted me to reserve a tee time; it was my first round at this course, so I didn’t know what to expect, but as I arrived, an attendant met me as I got out of my vehicle with a cart; he shared their check-in process and path to the clubhouse; after checking in, I asked that attendant and another attendant about things to know before I started; their information was very helpful; the round was somewhat slow as I caught several different groups in my solo round; the first group let me play through after I waited behind them in three holes, but on the back nine I caught another single on #14; he played through a foursome (family) that was playing a scramble and didn’t allow me to play through as I got held up on #16 and waited the remainder of the holes; the course layout was fantastic, and I look forward to another opportunity to play there soon.
Greens awful... Don’t play for a few weeks
Summer golf in the desert is usually fairly inexpensive because of the heat... and in Mesquite the population is mostly retired folks... who generally don’t want to risk heat stroke, so our 930 am tee time found us with the course to ourselves this Friday morning... we finished in 3 hours... course layout is fun, and have played in the winter months and usually a 4 star conditioned course. Our rate was $45 today... but the greens were aerated recently... very rough, and many greens were under some form of repair... but bottom line is they were too bumpy to putt... and not worth the discounted price they charged... if you Don’t care about putting... then disregard my review.... staff were all very friendly though and love the lunch in their grill!
Bad greens
Greens were outrageously slow, everything else was great.
palmer course at the oasis
Always enjoy this course, interesting holes, Up hills and downhills and plenty of doglegs.
nice resort course
Nice views (mostly), good elevation changes, decent early spring conditions and good mix of holes. Didn't like the multiple road crossings but understand necessity of them. Enjoyed over a nearby course with some questionable hole designs that I would not recommend to anyone.
Six Hour Round!!!!
A six hour round?? Can’t believe it myself. Pro shop closed by the time we returned to the start so no one around but cart guys to complain to - not that they probably cared. What kind of course can’t do a better job of managing the pace of play?? Course condition was good. Quite a few blind tee shots. Don’t play unless you have a lot more patience than we did!!!
oasis
The Palmer course at the Oasis club in Mesquite is always fun to play. Lots of elevation changes, plenty of water hazards. Gets crowded in the prime months. Greens are usually on the fast side. I enjoy it alot.
Beautiful course
Played this course for the first time upon recommendations from friends and my son. Course was played out wonderfully and the fairways and greens were excellent. I will definitely come back and play it again.,
Oasis Palmer golf course
A BEAUTIFUL course and a bit challenging. The views from each hole are amazing. Pictures do not do justice to the views. Definitely a course to enjoy!
Super course to challenge and enjoy the views.
There is only good things here. We golfed the 1:10 twilight and just finished putting out in the dusk light. We had to move quickly to get all 198 in - but worth the stress on 18 - had fun, great weather and course conditions 10/10.
Great value for what we got...
All we have to compare this course to is Wolf Creek, so the bar is high! lol. I am a bogey golfer, my man is 6 handicap. We both enjoyed the course a great deal. A few more difficult narrow fairways, a couple of crazy hard greens ... conditions of fairways and greens very good. Beautiful scenery and worth the visit. Would love to play it again.
Oasis - Palmer
I am a first time visitor and the staff was very helpful. Ace of play was wonderful through 11 holes then slowed down drastically. It was going to be three hours and ended up 5.
The course was in very good shape, and there was not one green or tee box that needed work. I would go back again happily.
Awesome course
Wonderful course as long as the flow of golfer skeep pace going,
Enjoyable Round
The Palmer course was in good shape considering the time of year and the heat.
The bag attendants were prompt to assist us in unloading. ( Note: My custom is to tip the bag attendants after the round. I was not aware they were not on duty after noon. I wished I would have been told)
The fairways and greens were well maintained. A golfer could see the course management was putting a effort to keep the course to standards.
Glen, the marshal, was excellent. Visible many times throughout the round and maintaining a proper pace of play. He went of his way to fetch a misplaced towel of one of our foursome.
The Oasis Palmer course may not have the reputation of some of the bigger named courses in Mesquite, but I would definitely suggest playing the course.
Great Course
When we are in Mesquite on vacation, this course is a must on our list. This course is a great test of your skills. It has tee boxes for all levels. However it is not for beginners.
An Arnold Palmer design course is much more vacation golfer friendlier course than a Jack Nicholas course.
In Mesquite, this is a must play. The fairways are gorgeous, the ball sits up, the rough is nothing and the greens are beautiful....balls rolls true.
GO PLAY the Palmer!
