Brigantine/Clipper at Shipyard Golf Club

The course was fun to play, the conditions were average. I am during the warmer months it’s better.

This was a pretty vanilla course, conditions were a little less than other we played. Layout is basic

This would be a great warm up-first course play.

Greens were the only positive. All other conditions of the course were poor at best. Rangers were oblivious to what was happening on the course. When they tried to interject they had no clue as to what was going on.

Will never play here again.

I have played this course many times and like it a lot. The clubhouse staff are amazingly friendly and it is really a pleasure to walk in and be greeted with such enthusiasm. The cart staff are efficient and friendly also. The course was in good shape for winter and is just challenging enough for the average golfer.

One concern on this round, which has not been an issue before was the pace of play. It was agonizingly slow. 3 hours for the front 9. Not sure what happened there so I am chalking it up to an aberration.

I will definitely be back.

Very enjoyable round here on a beautiful day in February. Weather was great and course was in very good shape. An exceptional value for the money! Will definitely return

We waited every shot, all 14 holes that we stayed for.

Most holes had three groups on it. Never saw a Marshall. Teed off at noon and we packed it in at 4:40 after playing 14 holes. Had we completed 18, holes, it would have been 6:00. Terrible! May not return.

The pro shop staff were friendly but the starter and outside staff not so much. Seemed like I was bothering them on this day wanting to play. It is not worth the 85+ to play. Go to the Golden Bear for 55+ for a good round with good pace and staff are extremely sociable!

The course was not playable by normal standards due to heavy rain several days earlier. The conditions were beyond cart path only rules for the day. The fairways were washed out and there was hardly any grass to hit off of. There was debris, sticks, and thick strands of grass clippings strewn across every fairway. It was difficult to find a spot on the fairways that didn't draw water from your stance. Bunkers we're mostly washed out. Our round took nearly five and a half hours to complete. There was no beverage cart. The course should have been closed until proper maintenance could be completed.
