Montclair Golf Club

Very nice course and for the value price online its a steal. I would definitely play here again. It is tight course though and it winds thru a very busy neighborhood. A couple holes too close to busy road/houses for my liking.

Just played a round at 6 hours pace. I had to call the club house several times to complaint about the pace of play. The course didn't have the ranger, and the club house manager didn't make a big deal. I am guessing a 6 hour round is normal here on the week day.

Is very narrow, and a bit challenging for the average golfer. The rough was jungle-like, but the rest if the course was under great conditions, especially considering the rain fall lately. I would play this course again, staff was friendly and was fun playing a new styled course.

The course winds through a residential area and requires numerous crossing of roads or driving the cart on streets.that's for starters,then there is the course which has multiple blind shots and hidden hazards.Local knowledge is required and they don't bother to help unfamiliar players with either a course diagram on the card or at each tee.Staff was friendly but not particularly helpful.I won't be back.

I booked a noon tee time and when I showed up I was told that there was a scramble going on and I would have to cmoe back around 1:30pm to play. This wasn't an issue for me since I live five minutes from the course, but could have been a problem had I drive a long distance to play. They did offer a raincheck, which I declined. Once on the course I was stuck behind the final group of the outing, so it took me an hour to play the first three holes. Then the course opened up and I played the next 15 in an hour and twenty minutes, so the overall pace was good. Fairways and greens were pretty nice,but the rough was long and the course was very tight off the tee. Recommended for the low price.

Short and tight course. A lot of sharp dog legs, hidden creeks, narrow fairways, etc. target golf. I won't play there again. I actually played it well (for me-shot an 85) but I just didn't enjoy the layout and 'target golf' design. I like to grip and rip my driver and you can't do that here!

I enjoyed my round. Headed back next weekend. The greens are super fast and challenging.

Montclair is/was a private course that has now opened up to GolfNow tee times for the general public. Because it's tight with alot of hilly holes and very few bail out areas, it's moderately to severly challenging depending on how stright you hit it. The greens had been recently aerated (they will be very nice once they grow in) but the areas off the fairways were not as well maintained as other courses I've played. You can lose alot of balls if you tend to try to bomb and gouge. The areas off the fairways are frequently severly sloped down into drainage areas filled with overgrowth and water (swampy areas).

The staff is very nice. It wasn't very busy the second day I played, so I was able to play alone.

The course has a convenient small driving range (irons only) and a nice chipping and putting green. Both are located just outside the clubhouse. I did not use the dining area/snack bar located in the large clubhouse. The pro shop was well stocked.

Short, tight track with several excellent holes to offset a few weak ones. Par 3s are very good.

First time play but I am really really like...I I can, I will go back and play again even I live far away.

Good course with medium difficulty. Very fast greens. Only issues I saw were that the greens were a bit too bumpy

They didn't have my tee time in the system. I had to prove to them that I had a time. Thanks for the smartphone!

Pass by this course many time, not what I expected.

Tea boxes, fairways need work. Greens are great. Cart path needs replaced. Great course for lovers of up and down, like me. Very tight with homes close to fairways at some places. Only 6,083 yards long but you MUST control your shots.
