About
Opened in 1897, Del Monte™ Golf Course is the oldest course in continuous operation west of the Mississippi. Designed by golf and polo enthusiast Charles Maud, this inland course boasts a meandering, hilly layout that has challenged golfers for more than a century.
It was the original host of the California State Amateur-still played on Del Monte's narrow, tree-lined fairways and small,well-protected greens-and continues to serve as one of the three courses on which the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational is played.
Adjacent to Del Monte™ Golf Course, the Del Monte Pavilion offers an inviting outdoor setting for any special event. Whether you are hosting a corporate outing or a tournament awards ceremony, all events are impeccably catered by the Lodge at Pebble Beach.

Good old school course
Good overall conditions,Fast and smooth greens. Fairways a little uneven due to mower ridges.
Classic, Fun, with very good conditions
Del Monte is an old-school classic. It has small greens which are typically in great condition and about the same size & profile as playing at Pebble. The layout is fun, and if you’re playing well you can score and really yuck it up. The layout is very condensed so it takes time to play if there’s a lot of traffic on the course.
I heavily recommend it. For the money in the MRY area, it’s tough to beat and highly enjoyable.
Pro shop staff is great
Thank u to the pro shop staff and esp Eddie and Jose. We had a family emergency come up and they took care of us and were very accommodating and compassionate. Keep up the good work!!! 🙏🏽
Girl, you really let yourself go
I never 1-star anything but his had to be said.
Played Pajaro many times over the years. Stopped going because the rates got ridiculously high for the value and quality. Played a couple months ago and the course is in even worse shape than that round.
The greens are a patchwork quilt of grass and bare dirt. They are bad enough that I have played freshly aerified greens covered in sand that are better to putt than these. I got a deal at $25 with a cart and to be honest that was about the proper price.
To the management. Please put some love into this course. It is a nice layout with some great views and could use some serious TLC and water.

Course played well and greens were in better condition than expected considering that CAR WEEK was only a few days ago.

A friend of mine from New York and I played. It was the first time I've played Del Monte in 25 years. It's a much better condition now than it was then.
