Rancho Del Sol Golf Club

I have played the Gary Player signature course several times in the past but I have never seen it in better shape. The fairways and greens were perfect. The layout is challenging without being cruel.

We had played here a few years before when it was called the Moreno Valley Country Club. The layout was excellent but the course was not properly cared for.

Completely new experience this time. The course went from 3 nine holes to a standard 18 hole. The fairway and greens were in great shape. That surprised me considering how much play they're getting. The course was crowded but the pace of play was very good.

Two players from my group were running late due to car problems. The starter (Jim) was great. He let several groups go out ahead of us to give my group extra time to arrive.

My only complaints:

1, No alcohol in the snack shop.

2, Need better signs on the course. Took us a while to find our way back to the clubhouse.

This course was fun and challenging for all skill levels especially for the price. There are some really awesome views and scenery when you get to the back 9.

Second time playing this course today. It is really coming into its own. The conditions are very good, particularly the greens, and offers a good mix of challenge and reward. The layout is really excellent, particularly the back nine that features a continuous set of memorable holes and views. They are still in temporary clubhouse facilities and there are some construction fences, but the course is just awesome and must play!

Nice but crowded around pro shop. In COVID times, we should be able to pay over the phone and go straight to the cart as Menifee Lakes allows. Rancho Del Oro Pro Shop said "no, they're not allowed to do that." My suggestion - change your rules. Let people pay over the phone, give the golfer the cart number, and have cart guy put the key in the cart. Problem solved.

Good course. Should be a lot better after the construction is over.

Loved the course but due to their COVID-19 rules of play that violated Riverside County’s Protocols, they care more about $$ then about the safety of its golfers. County Protocols state that Golf Courses must allow for social distancing by allowing 1 golfer to a cart if not family members or reside in the same residence. This course along with Menifee Lakes violate this County Protocol by trying to force each golfer to pay an Extra $10 to utilize a single cart per player. So even though I Love the track, myself and the 12 golfers that played there together will not be back until they change their policy.

This place isn't perfect as it just reopened. The course is a little challenging but that's the fun part. Overall condition is good but can still improve. The scenery, though, is great. All in all it's good enough for the price paid.

Course is in okay condition and the layout is fun. Pace of play can get backed up as expected. Definitely worth the drive out to BFE if you can’t find any courses near you.

i was surprised by how challenging the course was and it was in good condition, great staff and good pace of play. I will definitely be back.

Overall a very nice experience , greens where perfect, fairways good and bunkers. Thanks for keeping a good pace and drinks very cold.

Glad to see the course reopen. Went downhill with prior company. New clubhouse should be great. Put up with the temp buildings and construction for now.

Course today was a welcome surprise with soft and fast greens. Fairways were ok and pace of play was good. For sure they kept the 2 best nines and still room for improvement. Details have fallen thru the cracks but maybe with covid time and money has fallen short. At some point maybe manicure tee boxes, cart paths, trees, and clean up some of the rough areas that look rough. Wont effect your golf game but most nice golf courses offer that type of eye candy. Good value and it shows as the tee times were stacked up today. Thx we will be back. .Enjoy!

PS. maybe enforce a dress code as the loud mouth knucklehead behind us in gym shorts tee shirt and hightops was a bit distracting. Stay at the gym!

Had a great time here, it was tough if you are not on the fairway. When not on the fairway I had lots of uneven lies. Other then that when I hit the fairway the course played fair. Two totally different nine’s. I will definitely go back to play again.

played this course 4 times now over a 6 week period, the conditions are improving every time, they're really working on the course. One of my favorite courses right now. A challenging course.
