Rancho Mirage Country Club
About
This course sits at the intersection of two of the most famous roads in Palm Springs: Bob Hope Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive. Yet, it's one of the better kept secrets in the golf scene. Rancho Mirage Country Club in Ranch Mirage is a semi-private club available to outside play through stay & play packages so it does not do a lot of publicity.
There are 10 lakes, tons of palm trees and the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains to catch your eyes. The course itself is largely flat and inviting for the average hacker. It measures only 6,111 yards from the back tees. But its 122-slope rating is a little deceivingly given how small many of the greens are. It still takes good shots to post a good number at Rancho Mirage.
There are also lighted tennis courts at the complex, allowing golfers to make a day & night of it, if they wish.

Great views, friendly staff ,course was in great shape . We all had a fun and challenging day
love the course
Great venue. Love this course. Challenging Yet friendly
Awesome course
An awesome course for the price. Very beautiful. So beautiful that I took pictures along the way on many of the holes.
Good value course
The course was in great shape , cool day for April , fabulous day of golf.
Enjoyable round
Course was in nice shape and is not overly difficult. Was paired up with a friendly couple from Calgary that made the round even more enjoyable. Teed off at 7am and pace of play was good. Have played this course before and will be back again.
A must play golf course in Coachella Valley
An enjoyable golf experience with very accessible par threes, mitigated by some real long par fours. Par
fives very fair for scoring. Views and holes very rewarding visually. Highly recommend playing course at your earliest opportunity. Enjoyable elevation changes without blind approaches but some water challenges.
This Course is a great value all around!
I would recommend this course to anyone. I am going to play there again tomorrow!'
Most enjoyable.
Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun experience.
You get what you pay for
Pretty course views but be ready to wait on every shot. Bunkers are so horrible there is no need to rake. It's a low rate for this area but slow play takes a patient player.
Driving range is close to clubhouse but not much grass. Excellent practice green also conveniently located by clubhouse.
A good course to play for elderly golfers as easy access to all facilities and holes.
Slow play, unhelpful starter
The pair I was put with complained that they were put back from 10:22 tee time to go out with me at 10:37, without any one in the club advising them. The starter just said "not me. I have no idea." to this pair of ladies.
It was very slow play. We waited at every stroke.
I think they have to give more time between two tee times.
This course has some nice water holes.
Course was in good condition and had several chalanging holes.
Needs a Marshall
This is a good course; not long but with plenty of challenges to keep even a low handicapper interested. Our only frustration was pace of play. There were two open holes two groups ahead of us and a round that could have been played in 4 hours took 4 hours and 35 minutes. A firm Marshall would have really helped to either move the slow group along or allow the group ahead of us and us to play through.
Great early bird value
Great rate from GolfNow.com and finished my round in 4 hours! Beautiful day in the desert, what could be better?
Stay out of the bunkers
The track is good with a few long par 4's that are about as long as the par 5's. The traps are the worst I have ever played. They are hard clay with a dusting of sand. The bounce of the club comes right off of the surface and plays like you are on hard pan dirt. Bring water as there are no coolers on the cart and little on the front 9. That said, I did like the course and will stay out of the traps and drink my water on my next visit.
Great
First time I played the course and it was great lots of variety of holes to play. Nice greens great for making those long putts as they ran true. The only negative thing was some of the tee boxes needed repair as I think most played from the whites. I am going back this coming Friday and play the blues problem solved. A must play as I played early morning and a great bang for your buck. See you at Rancho Mirage I will be there. Donald
Rancho golf
Course was in good condition, I played with a couple from Chicago. It was their first time at Rancho Mirage. Had a great time. Starter sent me out early since I was a single. Great staff.
This course has poor features
For $85, I was very disappointed with Rancho Mirage Country Club. The driving range was awful. I was hitting off sand on the range. It was not even worth warming up with any of my irons. I did hit a few with my driver, but it was the worst range I have ever hit on. The pace of play was very slow. Three groups on a hole on several holes. The course design is OK, but for $85, I expected a good challenge and this is a beginner golf course. I was put with a couple that were well below my skill level and I spent a lot of time waiting for them to hit and those in front of us. To be very honest, I will never play Rancho Mirage Country Club again.

This course is ordinary
Extremely slow pace of play and tee times should be at least one more minute apart. No ice box nor towels on the cart. Bunkers are hard as rock and no sand. Clubhouse needs refreshing badly. Very tight layout which means that you are always in the face of some players with moderately errant shots. Poor value for the money and I would not recommend given the many other choices available in the area..
